When We Scream: FORESTALLING FUTURE HAPPENING!

I have a lot of other things to do with my time, even if it is to play koso and jorokotor. I am a scrabble and playstation addict. An extra shift here and there will give me about the same salary as many earn in Nigeria for a month. But we take the time out to scream so as to FORESTALL FUTURE HAPPENING.

Many people think it is politics. That it is about Jonathan's loss. With all due respect, Bleep Jonathan! He is just a pixel in the big picture that should be justice for all, minority or majority; muslim or Christian; North or south. That is absent in Nigeria. You all know that what Buhari is doing and getting away with, Jonathan will be decapitated for it. Our foreign reserve is 26 billion dollars from over 30 Buhari inherited and Buhari hasnt built a road. That is over 4 billion dollars plus another ten billion from earnings wasted. Fashola has achieved zero megabites six times, worst record ever. If it was under Jonathan, a minority, guess what people would be saying.

Many say I hate Fulanis. All I am trying to do is get Nigerians to call them to order. When people keep quiet about oppression, killings, arson etc IT WILL NEVER STOP. If Bridget can be beheaded and idiotic Igbos and the rest of Nigeria keeps quiet, tomorrow it will be Urhobo, Itsekiri or Ijaw. It will be Ikwerre. It will be Yoruba. That is how people who are not called to order continue. What is the motivation to show restraint? No really? If as a confraternity boy in the university, you can tell any girl to follow you from class to be raped, and every time she obeys, why would you stop? If you can go in a restaurant and take everyone's meat from their soup without resistance, would you stop?

Truth is Fulanis are only being human and powerdrunk. Why would they bother with looking for grass when cassava leave is more nutritious than hay and they can eat all Mosogar people's farm and kill the farmer and Bleep his wife and daughter? That is one stone killing so many birds: feed your cattle, sate your sexual desire and get to show your hunter skill by killing. Why would Agatu be safe when they can kill and say on TV "they stole our cattle so we killed them and burnt their houses and farm." Meanwhile the cows are to this day still feeding on the farms of Agatu and no one is charged for murder and arson. So why should they stop

Then Bridget! She is the lady beheaded by Muslims in Kano market for telling a Muslim to please not do his ablutions (washing of body to pray) right in front of her store as he is blocking customers from entering her shop. For that she is murdered. Now while the killers took pictures and are brandishing it with glee on their facebook Islamic sites, the husband is made to lie on Channels TV that his wife was not beheaded. Now tell me why another Woman will not be killed for whatever reason?

Point is cultures and religions have changed only when people have spoken up. Christianity used to be violent and murderous. The crusades are there as proof. However, Christians of that era ensured the violent aspects of the Bible, including where Jehovah the Christian God says to murder everyone, including prisoners of war is not preached as much as "love your neighbour as yourself."

Now I do not subscribe to the claim that Islam is necessarily violent. Like Christianity, aspects of it can be used to justify serious evil and heartlessness. And YES, at this point in human history, Islam is the problem. But so was Christianity during the crusades. Even the most fanatical Muslim know more muslims die from the violent interpretation of their own Islamic teaching. It is not only Christians they are killing in Syria or Iraq or Iran. We are a small number in comparison. You all saw Buhari's Sunni army slaughter Shia Muslims in Kaduna. Muslims are murdering Muslims without pity.

However, we have seen Islam work. Senegal has loads of Muslims. No one is killing anyone. I lived in Ketu and saw with my own eyes Ileya melt into Christmas and food everywhere for everyone, irrespective of tribe or religion. So yes, there are very dangerous interpretation of Islam. And yes there is a possibility of a peaceful version. And so we scream and resist the violent version.

If Ghandi was quiet, Maybe India would still be experiencing the hostility of the British till date. I can enter any bathroom with any white man because of Martin Luther King Junior. Remember that colonialization, racism, slavery, apartheid were all justified with the Bible by these perpetrators. People spoke up. People fought. Today, it is not what it used to be. Humanity is better off because people did not keep quiet or be politically correct.

So today, whatever be the oppression you see, children yet unborn tasks you to speak up for them. Martin Luther King spoke up for me even when my father did not yet know my mother. That is how what you say and do affects today and generations yet unborn.

We cannot let Northern Muslims continue to use religion to justify murder. We cannot let humans be killed so cows can feed. We cannot allow a woman to be beheaded just like that. We cannot let just a tribe and religion hold AK 47 and walk across the length and breathe of Nigeria bringing mayhem. Yorubas, Igbos, Tivs, Urhobos Efik etc all live in peace,Christian and Muslim. Why is it the same tribe of Fulanis along with Hausa enablers that go around killing everywhere? Why cannot Nigeria ask if they are Balotelli "why always me?", from Enugu to Ibadan, to Lagos to.... every where. Same Northerners.

I do not hate Northerners. I just want them to STOP. They must STOP. They cannot keep killing others. STOP

If we did not scream, would Buhari have issued a condemnation of the killing? 72 hours after, he did not till we screamed

And that is why we scream.

Please don't let us be quick in critising PMB. It is not easy to govern Nigeria and I am sure he must have learn't his lesson by now. Nigeria of today is different from Nigeria of 1984. To successfully govern Nigeria, PMB needs to develop the Humility of GEJ, the boldness and wisdom of OBJ, the diplomacy of IBB and the sturborness of Abacha.

cool

Wow, what a great synopsis of TRUTH, in fact northerners are great and friendly people and I love them, having lived in their midst for years. I understood religion is their only trigger point for violence.

Now, about this govt lies and propaganda, Femi Aribisala had captured the whole picture of our current scenario, but what I still don't understand is

1.in the face of all the lies, propaganda and gross ineptitude and incompetence this govt is dishing out daily, some people still decided to remain blind and idiotic in self delusion. Many reasonable people are now seeing this govt as a scam but shamefully and among my Yorubas they r a typical Zombic example seeing otherwise.

A SPADE MUST BE CALLED A SPADE

2. I also voted for change and defended change for about 8months that I realized, I've been defending the indefensible just as Femi had highlighted but a few up there.

I called on every reasonable Nigerians, Now is the time we speak out and clamour for nothing else but restructuring, I see this govt taking us nowhere in the next years

Nawa o, did u say all this during GEJ's tenure? If not, hmm-make I no just talk. Don't u think if not for the critism, PMB won't have turn something else and drag the economy down than this?

Whatever it is that made me criticize GEJ must also make me criticize PMB and so far GMB had been a failure....

I'm very disappointed even in myself for thinking He's a saint that will really turn things around for the below average Nigerians.

So Egbon, wake up
