On Wednesday 8 June 2016, the residence of Calabar the Cross River State capital were in total fear following the clashes of two rival cult groups in the state.

Brainnews NG can authoritatively report that places like Palm Street, Watt Market, Uwanse, Mount Zion, Ekpo Abasi, Inyang Edem were in lock down following the unrest.

A man was reportedly killed in Mayne Avenue by Atakpa and after that another was gun down in the popular Watt Market still in Calabar which saw traders and commuters scamper for safety.

It is believed that two rival cult groups were involve in this ugly incident.
