Lenovo Phab 2 series is the upgraded, 2016 versions of the 6.8-inch Lenovo Phab and 6.98-inch Phab Plus which controversially crossed the size boundary that distinguishes phone from tablet. Although still aimed at lovers of huge display,the latest Lenovo Phab 2 series comes in three distinct models -Lenovo Phab 2 plus ,lenovo Phab 2 & Lenovo 2 pro all with a slightly smaller 6.4 inch display.


The basic and the most pocket friendly model is the Lenovo Phab 2 from which Google’s Project Tango technology or the dual rear camera found in the Phab 2 Plus is missing ,yet packs some key specs worthy of a 2016 Phablet.
Design & Display

The Lenovo Phab 2, Phab 2 Plus, and the Tango-enabled Lenovo Phab 2 Plus all share essentially the same design.They are all smartphones which for the most part can be described as a Smartphone and controversially as a tablet and are targets of those with liking for really extra big devices.

The Lenovo Phab 2 been the most basic of the trio has a body made entirely of plastic and doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor at the rear.The Lenovo Phab 2 has a more attractive and skinnier profile with a thickness of 5.50mm and weighs less than the first generation Phab at 225.00 grams.It flaunts a really large 6.4-inch sized screens, which translates to having a lot of real real-estate for work and play.The IPS touchscreen has an HD resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels for 227-ppi pixel density.

Much like the first generation Lenovo Phab,the Phab 2 uses a Quad core Mediatek processor, Lenovo Phab is equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor operating at speeds of up to 1.3 GHz and accompanied by a 3GB of RAM for improved Multi-tasking.

The comes with an internal storage of 32GB of storage, which is fair enough considering that the device supports external storage .

The Lenovo Phab 2 is fueled by a a 4,050mAh battery with fast charge and comes with a promise of up to a full day of use on a single charge.

Camera
Been the least expensive of the Phab 2 lineup ,the Lenovo Phab 2 miss out on the Google’s Project Tango technology of the Phab 2 pro and also on Phab 2 plus dual rear camera,but instead comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera with some augmented reality tricks like adding different effects and virtual objects to your photos and videos.The Phab 2 13MP rear camera also include a PDAF Fast-Focus while the front facing camera comes with 85-degree wide-angle lens for better group selfies.

Other specs of the Lenovo Phab 2 include support for dual SIM,runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with the latest Vibe UI laid on top,Dolby Atmos audio and supports other connectivity options Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, and 4G.

The Lenovo Phab 2 alongside the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force will hit the stores globally from September 16 in Champagne Gold and Gunmetal Grey colors and start at a price point of $199 (13,275 approx.) .When available in Nigeria,the Lenovo Phab 2 price will range from N40,000 -N50,000.Kenyan & Ghana price price of the Lenovo Phab 2 could also range from 20,000 Kenyan Shilling and 500 GH¢ – 600GH¢ in Kenya and Ghana respectively.
