The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star on Wednesday alleged that the sister of its Spiritual Head, Mrs. Helen Udoh (Queen Mother), forged the document with which she is claiming power of Attorney.

It also denied that its Sole Spiritual Head, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, gave power of attorney to the Queen Mother Ibum Olumba Obu to take over its administration.

Reacting to a media report that the Supreme Court was to hear Olumba’s suit next January 17, BCS spokesperson, Bishop Princely Ugwa Ibeabuchi, said the report had weighty and serious mistakes.

Ibeabuchi said: “The first correction is that the Supreme Court panel to hear the suit was not headed by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta as reported but by Honourable Justice W. S. N. Onnoghen who led four other justices in the court.

“The report referred to His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu as Roland Obu and the second son of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu but the fact is that he is the First Son and we have abundant evidence to that effect.

“In the report, it was stated that Leader Olumba Olumba Obu gave the Queen Mother power of attorney.

“The truth of the matter is that the Leader never gave any form of attorney or any other instrument to her which is supposed to entitle her to take over the administration of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star.”

He added that it was not his Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu that took the Sister Mrs. Helen Ibum Udoh (Queen Mother) to court in His Private Capacity.

Rather, he clarified it was the BCS Board of Trustees that initiated the action against her to challenge the claim that she has the power of attorney as Head of BCS administration.
