It is not a menace. Greedy Magas are equally as guilty as the 419ers. As the old saying goes ' a fool and their money are soon parted"

If we tackle 'yahoo yahoo' how does that help us in generating light, improving education and improving health?
Shouldn't we be tackling the thiefs who made sure that we only get light by generator or there is no medecine in hospital pharmacies?

@Poster, to tackle this menace, you have to tackle all forms of crime and at all levels. When we get back to recognizing that crime is crime and every criminal ought to be prosecuted by the law, then we get to have some sanity.

NOT EVERYBODY IN NIGERIA is evil, something can be done, believe me.
i am a tree in a forest and i need support, sometimes i get really angry at Nigerians (including me).

Alot of other innocent Nigerians go through all this too and its up to us to take out the bad ones giving us bad names, its the responsibility of everybody.

@POster, start by Telling on your Brothers/Friends/Relatives currently working on one scam or the other. Anyone you know that is working any get-rich-quick scheme as we speak. Report the person to the authorities and we start from there.

This is the problem I continue to have with folks who open threads, such as this one, on here. Why did you ask in the first place, if you already concluded that you are one person and so cannot do much? Do you realize how many of these threads we get each month?

What sort of person would you want as president of Nigeria? What is the solution to Yahoo Yahoo? How do we solve the PHCN problem . . . I mean come on. Why open threads when you are not even willing to open your mind to the fact that what you have to offer is much if only you are willing to do it.

I still say, if you are ready to actually do something about it, not wait until everybody says YES with you, something which is likely never to happen considering we are still speaking of Nigerians/Africans here, then let me know.

Absolute Bullocks. The Nigerians defrauding people in the United States dont have access to good roads and electricity abi?
Yahoo Yahoo is just a manifestation of our inner self as a people. Nigerians have always been corrupt. It didnt just happen. THe internet only made it more popular. Right from the days of slave trade when our Kings made money off selling our people to the white man.
What we need is a deep sense of re-orientation and/or a revolution.
What do you expect from a child whose parents had to bribe someone for Primary school certificate question papers, and then JAMB expo. Job seekers that actually steal test papers so that they can cheat. The list is endless. These are the little things that lead up to yahoo yahoo and not poverty or lack of roads. You can be poor and honest.
Eliminate all these things from scratch and people will be more inclined to stay away from corruption/greedy endeavours. Until then, you are wasting your time.
