The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has lambasted the Department of State Services, DSS, for claiming that it arrested its member, while planning to bomb computer village in Lagos.

The IPOB, while describing the claim as a blatant lie and deliberate attempt to rubbish the group, called on the general public to ignore the DSS

A statement by Emma Powerful, IPOB’s Director of Media and Publicity said the group won’t be distracted by the false reports of the DSS, adding that their spirit was no longer with Nigeria.
The statement reads thus:

“The deliberate, weak and unsuccessful attempt by the DSS to incriminate and criminalize the IPOB by lobbing IPOB together with criminals, and their claim that an IPOB member was arrested for planning to bomb ‘Churches, Check points and Computer village in Lagos’ is the latest and most brazen yet of their quite unintelligent effort to blackmail the noble IPOB.

“Once, they claimed the IPOB killed and buried in Abia forest five chiness or is it Indians; Nigerians took offence, and everybody condemned the DSS; major newspapers called for the sanctioning of the DSS leadership in their editorials.

“Next, they claimed IPOB attacked security men on May 30th, in their foolish effort to justify the wicked and unwarranted Nkpor massacre; again, Nigerians mocked them.
“Everybody knows IPOB marches peacefully on the streets, waving flags only. Nobody believed the IPOB will suddenly attack the security forces on a day the whole world media will watch their 49th Anniversary march.

“Having failed serially, in their quite determined effort to paint IPOB black, they now resort to arresting people in their sleep only to accuse them of planning to bomb Disney land in the USA and the TOKYO airport in Japan.

“This crazy false allegation DSS heaps daily on IPOB is only a confirmation of the pre-determined mindset of President Buhari and DSS DG Daura to lead Nigeria to a 2nd civil war. Everybody knows the IPOB is not and will never become a violent organization.

“We have lost faith in Nigeria long ago; we will continue to march peacefully with our flags, singing religious songs and crying unto God for freedom from this hot and hostile contraption called Nigeria.

“No amount of false allegation, cold blooded killings, deliberate insertion of IPOB in DSS press statements on Insurgency or outright arrests of innocent people will make us return to evil Nigeria.

When Scotland wanted to leave Britain, the British Government did not shout "one Britain" and send the security forces after the Scots. Have you seen IPOB with arms?
