Young woman, the issue is more complicated than you think, you are a Christian today simply because you were born into a Christian family. You didn't choose it. With this your enthusiasm you would have been a radical Muslim if you were born by Muslim parents.

The fact that we cannot choose our parents and therefore cannot choose which religion will be born into is a call to reason.

A guy made an intriguing comment some time ago, he said how easy do you think it will be for the daughter or son of Sultan of sokoto to convert to Christianity or that of Adeboye to Islam.
I believe God is perfectly aware of those constraints.

Please note, I'm also a Christian and mind you, NOT agnostic. But I don't condemn people based on religious differences.

I have said this before. . We strongly associate with the religion we are born into.. i would probably defend islam if i was born a muslim.. but God gave us the gift of critical reasoning.. we can all think for ourselves.. Christians are encouraged to think for themselves by virtue of freewill as taught in the bible.. we are free to make our own choices. Unlike Islam which forbids asking questions about Islam. .

I dont condemn people, muslims, Hindus etc.. i make it clear that i detest islam by virtue of what i have learnt by reading the quran and hadiths. .. its a despicable religion... we should be thankful most muslims dont follow all the teachings of the quran...

Please don't be hypocritical here, it cuts across all religions. There are certain things you do not question in religion because they are beyond human comprehension.

I'm saying this because I have read comments of some guys here who were former Christians but are Atheists today. they claim to have asked some questions and couldn't get answers or the answers they got wasn't satisfactory (that is not enough reason to become an atheist anyway it's just their own choice. And I will say it's not a wise choice)

I can remember the case of a brother (a PhD holder according to the narration he gave) saying his pastor shut him up when he was young whenever he asks questions and told him to rebuke the devil for its the devil making him to ask such questions. That was how his journey to atheism began.

Now back to the issue on ground. we are all aware of the evil and wicked practices that have been perpetrated in the name of Islam. But I still want everyone to respect and meditate on the Fact that we do not choose our parents and therefore cannot choose which religion we will be born into.

Don't be hypocritical or judgmental when addressing any person practicing another religion because it's not their making. Rather learn to be respectful and approach with love that is the only way you can win them and make them see reasons with you.

Criticism and hypocrisy won't work, it will only result into violence and killing just as we have been seeing.

If someone threatened to post your picture on terrorist website,would you not take it serious? Especially coming from a dude in Nigerian where cyba crime is well know. I reported to the police for to protect myself. The pictures and the messages were taken cyba cops. In future if he linked my picture with a suicide group it will show I had reported it in the past.

You are here defending him rather than caution him. Ask him why he stopped using that account.

The first thing I did that midnight was to call the police,showed them the website and they took note of it. They went through all his post to filter similar threats. Who knows he might carry out his threat.
