Hello Laird,

There is no Canadian law stating if you are educated outside Canada , you can not get a professional job. The task is on you to do the needful. To enable foreign trained professional get a job in Canada you are advised to first Evaluate your previous degree meaning Convert your previous degree to the Canadian equivalent. The Canadian employer wants to be sure your degree qualification is equivalent to the Canadian education standard.

Also, you must show you have requisite work experience to suite the job vacancy. It therefore means that only your educational qualification ( be it Bsc , masters degree ) do not qualify you for employment .

Do you meet the job requirement as stated in the Job Vacancy, Do You have the requisite job experience...please feel free to apply for any professional job vacancy in Canada. Note: ensure to evaluate your credential prior to submitting your application.

Read more on why you need and how to Evaluate your Previous degree or Qualification you obtained outside Canada before trying to apply for any Vacancy in Canada. I just picked two for now...the details also applies to other profession.

Hello Laird,

I clicked on your link....the report overwhelming, why not choose to enlighten people and allow them make their decision rather than discouraging them .

Please note: the essence for this post is to enlighten , not to discourage or take decision for people. I read the post on the link, i would choose to tell people what is the needful to be done. Teach one teach all...

Below is a link to telling you fellow readers the needful, you must do before travelling or immigrating to Canada to work or as permanent residence.

i quote:

Many Canadian employers feel a candidate with the right hard skills, but candidate with poor soft skills won’t not be able to adapt quickly enough. However a person with the right soft skills has the potential to acquire any hard skills they may lack.

And the need for soft skills in today’s workplace is only becoming more vital because of business globalization, virtual offices, technology and increasing diversity in age, gender and race. We all need to ensure our soft skills meet new and constantly evolving social and environmental demands — not to mention the old office politics which never seem to go away — being placed on us.

Unfortunately, immigrants usually arrive in Canada with 90% technical skills, and only 10% soft skills, without realizing what a big obstacle this is in their way to finding employment. Some decide to go back to school and get Canadian degrees and certifications; in other words, they keep working on their hard skills. Though Canadian credentials can be indeed useful, they do not compensate for the lack of your soft skills. .

So immigrate to Canada is just a means not the end to your livelihood in Canada but adaptation is your key to survival anywhere you find yourself in this world. Please do the needful before attempting to relocate.

Do they needful before relocating.....
So that you doth blame anyone.

If Canada was that bad the news would have been flying all
around there world, how the are hostile to immigrate or how
immigrate lack good jobs to do....

If it was that bad they immigrate in canada would have carry

I AM NOT AN IMMIGRATION AGENT OR SPECIALIST.

I JUST BELIEVE IN TRUTH AND FACTS.

CANADA GOVERNMWNT NEED PEOPLE TO FILL UP AND OCCUPY THEIR BIG LAND MASS AND PAY TAXES AND BRING REVENUE(WHEN YOU TRAVEL, VISIT OR RELOCATION TO ANY WHERE, YOU WOULD CARRY SPENDING MONEY)

MANY PEOPLE REACH CANADA AND FIND THERE ARE VERY FEW AVAILABLE GRADUATE HIGH SKILL JOBS EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE ADVERTISEMENT FOR SUCH JOBS..,..
EMPLOYERS PREFER ORIGINAL CANADIANS AND PEOPLE WITH CANADIAN DEGREES AND GOING BACK TO CANADIAN SCHOOL DOES NOT EVEN GUARANTEE ANYTHING JOBS

THERE ARE DOCTORS AND PHD HOLDERS DRIVING CABS IN CANADA BECAUSE CANADIAN EMPLOYERS PREFER CANADIANS AND CANADIAN DEGREES WHICH DO NOT GUARANTEE JOBS

IF YOU WANT A CANADIAN PASSPORT AFTER 5 YEARS AND YOU ARE READY TO GO TO NURSING SCHOOL THERE OR DO MENIAL JOBS LIKE TRAILER/TRUCK DRIVING WHICH PAYS OR CONSTRUCTION JOBS YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND SPEND MONEY AND TIME SCHOOLING IN CANADA FOR A CANADIAN DEDEGREE AND AFTER GRADUATING TRY YOUR LUCK FOR A WHITE COLLAR SKILLED OFFICE JOB. CANADA IS FOR YOU
