If you are disappointed that Enugu state Governor conferred chieftancy title on an Hausa man, you're not but a pawn in the hands of politicians.

This is good news to hear. If the man is helping to develop the community then it's only right that he gets the recognition that he deserves, regardless of his state of origin. I wonder how some people will try to spin this to make it seem that the Igbos are tribalists. I've already seen one come here to cause trouble, let's see if more will join him...

Yorubas, Hausas, and every other ethnic group in nigeria always appoint a leader wherever they form a community.

It is these leaders that represent them whenever the host community wants to dialogue with them. It is also through them that they make their grieviances known to their host.

When Igbos elect their own leader, they call him igwe.

He's a leader over the igbos alone and not the host community so this does not in anyway relate to the op.

They're also not the only ones they have leaders in every states in Nigeria so the first paragraph of your comment is unnecesassy and useless.

You Mean an Igbo Man can Become an Emir of Sokoto tomorrow? Pls Igwe title is a sacred one which is meant for only indegenes of a community. But giving it to an Hausa man is calling for trouble

2)The Igwe title cannot be confered on a non Igbo. It is sacriledge

There is nothing like Enugu north Igwe... Igwe in Igbo land is a village king not a local government king... there is nothing like local government king... I personally don't understand what you gain in spreading rumors...please get a life
