The modern Police Station built by Oba David Olajide Okunato (Ilufemiloye I) the Iresi of Osi was commissioned today. The place was filled up with Royal fathers and their representatives. Also Government officials and Political office holders were also present there.
The Deji of Akure HRM Aladetoyinbo speak expressly on the need for every community leaders present to take home such spirit of humanitarian services. He commend the king for his selfless effort in developing in domain and he forsee the community to be a mini Akure in few years to come.
ACP Okoro, representing the commissioner of police was highly flabbergasted by the edifice put in place by the king. He promise that the Nigeria police force will do their best to maintain the place and make it neat and habitable.
The Chairman of Akure North Local government spoke expressly on his reference for Oba Okunato and also said they initially promise to help in the project but were surprise that before they could fulfil their promises the king has completed the project. He therefore promised that in the next three month, the Local Government will commission a project within three months from now.
The representative of Governor Mimiko brought greetings from the governor and relay the messages of the governor to the community. He spoke on the commitment of the government to support the project but due to economic situation of the country, they were not able to render their help but promise that if the community can support him, his successor will partner with the community in the other projects that are coming.
During the commissioning, the Asinigbo of Isinigbo donated a new Motor Bike to the newly commissioned police station.
