Can Naija Make It At Big Brother Arica Iv Revolution? by dedeike: 12:02pm On Sep 15, 2009
The biggest reality show on the African continent-Big brother Africa- took a more revolutionary twist on sunday with the entry of 12 female housemates. Significantly, MNET deemed it fit to bring in two female housemates from Nigeria thus bringing to three the number of representatives from Nigeria. This development is remarkable given the fact that it has further increased the chances of a Nigerian to win and take home the $200,000 dollars at stake. its more heartwarming to note that even the host country(south Africa) was not accorded that priviledge. it is believed that MNET took the decision in recognition of our huge subscriber base and contibutions through text messages and votes.
It is therefore against this background that I beckon on all nairalanders to support our representatives through our votes and text messages. its time for us to unite and secure victory for our very own. By so doing , we would have succeded in empowering one of our teeming unemployed youths. shorn of the shower hour that hitherto clothed the show in the garb of sodomy, BBA IV foists a flag of unity for all African youths. it remains a viable platform for us to cross pollinate ideas with the rest of Africa. its a forum where we have to propagate the GOOD PEOPLE, GREAT NATION mantra irrespective of whatever reservations we may have about the rebranding project. lets invade the BBA thread with messages extolling the good values that Nigerians hold dear and which i know the trio of Nkenna, kelvin and geraldine represent. Given our position as the Giant of Africa and the three slots advantage, there exists a strong tendency for other countries to beef and loathe us.but lets approach them with maturity. lets avoid namecalling and the use of abusive words on other countries. such boastful messges like "Naija 4 Life" and "we have the oil money to save our own" will not help our cause.
As Nairalanders, we have the mental ability to package and sell any idea constructively. so let the show begin
