Dashboard Lights Malfunction On 2006 Honda Pilot by Breed(m): 3:42pm On Jul 21, 2016
I have just had the engine of my 2006 Honda Pilot replaced and I have issues with the indicator lights.

- The oil and cruise control lights won't come on at start up.
- The Check Engine, VSA and VTM 4 lights stay on after start up.

Can anyone please help point me in the direction of a solution?

Thanks.

I always say that engine reconditioning is better than engine replacement, because you dont know what the other engine has been through.

Its always a gamble, bet you your original engine you swapped will be steam washed and offered for sale as a new engine that's naija for you.

Reconditioned engines last longer and are a sure bet, look for mechanics who know how to recondition engines.

The components rings, pistons, crankshafts and others are available in the market.

You could end up buying a used engine with high mileage and low service life.

An engine change at under 63,000 miles? I would start questioning that mileage.
This engines are meant to be bulletproof if maintained properly

The mileage was rolled back at purchase, that I knew about, so I would ignore that.

Regarding reconditioning, it is also touch and go as that was done initially and failed so I went down the replacement route.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Oil light and cruise control light not coming up -Electrical issue .
Check engine ,VSA and VtM4 light -Address the check engine issue and vsa and vtm 4 will disappear
