http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/07/%E2%80%8Ehijab-can-disappointed-appeal-court-ruling/ By Sam Eyoboka My point is this Hijab is only for Muslim pupils - Christians are not forced to wear it. How will it Islamise the society? If Hijab can islamise, why has it not islamised the entire public when it can be worn in public places? How come the wearing of the habit by nuns has not catholicised the society? How come we protest the wearing of Hijab but not fellowship that keeps us awake at 3am? A few years ago, the Nigerian Stock Exchnage stopped brokers wearing the Hijab from coming to the floor of the Exchange They were kept away for 4 months before the intervention of some Council members The question is - will the NSE also be islamised by people wearing Hijab? Why do we not talk about Christianisation Christianss - esp the Chosen Group - disobey the ban on preaching in buses. Nobody can argue that a female passenger wearing Hijab disturbs him But we know that someone preaching does - imagine going for a meeting/interview and want to revise some points in the bus before getting there The Chosen Group disrupt traffic and move around disruptively in markets, but that is not Christianisation! 5 Likes 1 Share |

It is unfortunate CAN doesn't even understand how democratic governance works. The court has interpreted the constitution and has shown that CAN's bigotry has no place in Nigeria. CAN understanding of peace is that Muslims should be prevented from practicing their faith, such extremist points of views clearly shows the sick people currently running CAN. 3 Likes |

usba: What CAN seeks is easy to understand - they want to dictate what Muslims can do, irrespective of what the law says If a judgment is favourable to muslims they protest it rather than pursue legal redress, especially when they know their objection is a product of envy and intolerance and lacks legal merit Biut when a judgment is against Muslims, you will see them asking Muslims to be law abiding There is a growing suspicion that CAN has become radicalised 2 Likes 1 Share |

BetaThings: The sad thing about fanatical CAN is their assumption that somehow they can successfully deny Muslims our rights... they are sorely mistaken and can only be reminded that this is not Europe or the west were Muslims are a minority. The good thing about this is how it exposes their bigoted mindset and their intolerance to the extreme. I wonder whether their supporters on nairaland can have the integrity to push this to the frontpage. |
