Do me a favor and read this ..

I WISH TO DRAW THE URGENT ATTENTION OF ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT THROUGH THE HON. COMMISSIONERS FOR HEALTH, SPECIAL DUTIES AND ENVIRONMENT TO WHAT I CALLED A MIRAGE, WHERE OUR PEOPLE ARE GIVEN POISON AT KWATA ABATTOIR. THE PICTURES BELOW IS WHERE THESE ANIMALS WASH THE MEAT WE BUY WITH IDEI (flood) COMING FROM DIKE STREET TO THE ABATTOIR TO IYIAGU AREA. I THINK I HAVE PLAYED MY PART BY CALLING THE ATTENTION OF HEADS OF THEIR UNION. THE STATE GOVERNMENT SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS AS A MATTER OF URGENCY AS IT INVOLVES HEALTH.!

OP, you are very correct. I went to Osse mkt with my 9yrs old daughter yesterday and she discovered that vegetables Dealers do wash their vegetables by the bank of river niger, where people were throwing dirty, bathing, pouring dirty water into and urinating. She said `Daddy see where these people are washing vegetables, very dirty. I will not eat outside again'. Really,I was touched,if a 9yrs old girl can discover this herself, then Nigeria is finished.

While I say well done to you, I wish to say that your choice of words is a bit animalistic.
Once again, well done.

Maybe you should have to ask before you attack me , that was the way my friend posted it .

I agree with you Sir , I hail from Anambra as well .
Even though I don't reside there any longer , I still have images of what Osse market looks like whenever I visit the market .
That's the carbon copy of what you see @ Oyigbo market here in Rivers state .
Too bad to sell food stuffs

I am into food and hospitality in port Harcourt. I once visited an abattoir on the east west road, amazed at the practice there, I pulled out my camera and took a shot, only to be apprehended by some traders, who marched me to their union leader demanding that I delete the images, which I did and quickly left the area as they began to rain insults on me for no reason.
Many of our abattoirs around the country are as filthy as this one with very dirty practices. The Ministry of health is not concerned with these sector of our food industry. Instead they focus on fast foods, hotels and restaurants issuing premises fitness and food handlers health certificates at ridiculous rates.
I agree with you 100% , you'll even see the worst @ Oyigbo market , a very dirty place .
I rembet around last year as well , people dug up meat from the ground after the goods were expired .

The same meat dey can't eat because they know d process(unclean process) it went through.....

I think govt should issue license to qualified Abattoir I.e. those abattoir with gud water system preferably pipe borne water, gud buildings N environment for hygiene purposes , ...ny body should not just open an abattoir.. they should be monitored, inspected, licensed N certified..

Op, this not new. Most of the food items we eat are processed in the worst hygienic conditions.

From meats been washed in dirty water, flour been molded with sweat driping from the chef's fore head to edible fruits been washed in rivers that serves as a channel to the latrine of a nearby toilet and many more.

Na God dey save person

Don't make me vomit oooo. Your very correct
