The Governor TV Series On Ebony Life TV by AgbolahanO: 12:23pm On Aug 04, 2016
If you have not seen the Governor on ELTV, it is about time. It is about how Angela Ochello played by Caroline Chikezie (Aeon flux, Eragon) became the governor of a fictitious savannah state rich in iron ore,in a west african country. The overarching theme of the series drums on the societal view of women as place holders in the family as against the neo movement of women as worthy opponents of their male counterparts in the political terrain. Whether Angela Ochello can demystify the role of men in governance with a husband that is somewhat threatened by her ambition and political opponents spearheaded by a faction in her party called the Shining light is a puzzle that would unfold as the show progresses.
The series is four episodes deep as of this moment. The fifth episode would air today on ELTV at 10pm. Here is a recap of the show for those who would love to be thrilled by witty dialogues, double entendres and Nigerian political insight (Given Sen Florence Ita Giwa blessings). This is not to say that the usual suspects of shortfalls are absent. But in the spirit of positive vibes a recap of the first four episodes would be in order (episodes were named by me and not by the show). Watching the show would make it all easier to digest. Also note that there are numerous spoiler alerts ahead if you have not seen any or some of the episodes.

Season 1 Episode 1 (The Chinese):
The first scenes opens with rapid cutaways between the incumbent Governor Peter Akale sealing a Chinese deal despite Henry (Lord Frank) his Chief of staff's better Judgement and the Deputy Governor Angela Ochello, a glorified pen pusher being overtly nice to her Personal Assistant Sam, who by the way has reservations about her caring about his toothache.
Her naiveté and innocence is further established when her daughter Iffy Ochello played by Simi Adejumo said "but mom everybody knows politicians meet at night" in a bid to convince her Mom and Dad (Bimbo Manuel) that she had to leave for campus that night for a campaign meeting in the company of Carl Bello ( Son of Friday Bello: The Commissioner of Finance who wants to be the next Governor) played by Baaj Adebule of Hush.
The night ends with the ghastly accident of Peter Akale when a truck veered into his convoy thus hanging the fate of the execution of the Chinese deal(supported by the Friday Bello and leaders of the Shining light faction), while Angela's friends and family celebrate prematurely over the possibility of her becoming the Acting Governor, despite her not being privy to clandestine meetings of the EXCO's(which she is a part of) and party chieftains to discuss state matters.
Even though the show is PG 13 we would love to see Caroline give us a small dose of sexy and she does this with this double entendre " I need to shower and then you can tell me about your day" while at home with her husband a political scientist and former band member. We just might never know what went down after those words.

Season 1 Episode 2 (Delay not deter)
Angela had been invited by the shining light faction leadership and she was made an offer: For the sake of unity within the party, she should step down in the eventual death of the bed ridden incumbent Governor. She finds comfort in her husband as usual and asks "Can they do that? Can they determine the future of millions over a few drinks?. Angela's father(Primrose faction of the party) Chief Momoh Alli played by Taiwo Abilene is irate over the invitation of Angela by the SLF.
The first lady and chief of staff's effort to fly the Governor out for better health care (because the state of the health care system is in shambles: an Irony Angela made mention of) is frustrated by the well connected party chiefs to avoid the affairs of the state to be run by those in the Governors circle: Magdalene Akale (Philomela Nneka) and Henry. The trip plans is hijacked by the party chiefs in an attempt to control the flow of information. We start to notice a crack in Angela's marriage because of her choices, even though David (Bimbo Manuel) claims to support Angela. His doubts and insecurities keep rearing its head the more it seems Angela is taking her own Destiny into her hands. Eventually Angela succumbs to her husband's emotional manipulation and gives the resignation offer a thought.
She informs Henry of this development and he quickly makes a connection that a plot is in play to kill the Governor, thus discouraging Angela to leave the affairs of the state to Friday Bello known for his notoriously corrupt antics.
The Governor eventually dies in the hospital and the party chiefs decide to withhold the information from the public anticipating that Angela would not renege on the offer. Henry is the victim of the Kidnappers: Except it was a case of mistaken identity.

Season 1 Episode 3 (What changed?)
Angela is faced with an insecure Iffy who is intimidated by Jide Thompson (Most likely son of Chief Sobifa Thompson) more popular opponent and Ekanem's hurtful words. Iffy is spurred by Angela's chat to face her fears and debate the issues. With the help of her sometimes genius brother Toju (Samuel Robinson, 8 bars & a clef, Desperate housewives Africa) they execute a social media campaign according to Toju "that would make Jide Thompson cry like a baby".
Iffy's campaign eventually motivates Angela into withdrawing her resignation which was critical in creating a vacuum for Friday Bello to become the new Governor(According to the constitution in Savannah State in the absence of a Deputy Governor to fill the seat of the Governor if incapacitated, the Secretary of state fills the seat, but there was a political manipulation that was under the radar that somehow bypassed all the suitable candidates and made it possible for the Commissioner of finance to be the next in line. In Savannah all is well that ends well).
David again slips into his vulnerable side. He shows this when he sees Angela on TV grant an unscheduled interview with a reporter (Najite Dede) for the first time as the Acting Governor of the state, after Friday Bello instructs Musa to leak the Governor's death to the Press. Meanwhile the SLF realises there initial offer to Angela was not enough motivation for her to resign her position, and they start to make more demands and promises her father that her tenor would be the shortest ever in the history of Savannah if she does not give in to their demands.
Henry informs the kidnappers who he is and they realise it was a case of mistaken identity. One of the kidnappers weighs the option after Henry threatens them as the chief of staff. Iffy loses the election but she comes to terms with the possibilities considering the margin of her loss was not as substantial as she might have initially believed.
Friday Bello is convinced that Angela has powerful supporters in her corner and convinces his son Carl Bello the boyfriend of Iffy Ochello to find out why Angela changed her mind considering.
Angela takes her children for shopping and Toju in the most unpleasing manner tries on different clothing to find the perfect fit. Iffy trying out clothes would have been more appealing to the eyes, but how else could Iffy have a moment with her Mom to find out why she reneged on her agreement with the Big Three.
But what happens to the information after Carl Bello gets wind of it ? I must confess never in the history of TV has the word "changed" been used so many times in one episode.
In one last embarrassing scene Toju takes the famous staircase walk to reveal his new suit which his mom bought to his Dad. That was not a TV friendly sight. He must have a couple of female fans though for that to have been a moment in the show.
Angela is sworn in as the first female Governor of Savannah State in the presence of friends, family and the world. Surprisingly for the first time we see her and her Mom in the same location even though there wasn't any notable conversation between both. We suspect that there is bad blood between both of them from the first scenes in the pilot when she politely ignores her Dad when he's asked Angela about he Mom. This will be an interesting arc to see unfurl.

Season 1 Episode 4 (Chine part 2)
Henry brings in Musa (Ani Iyoho) for questioning regarding the security report he claimed existed at a time when the former Governor Peter Akale was in the hospital. What is baffling is that during their conversation which occurs after Governor Peter Akale's burial, Henry brings up a possible Autopsy with Musa to determine if the death could be linked to the security threat. Even though the autopsy was a ploy by Henry to further let Musa sink himself further in the sandpit he created and started when he denied Henry access to the former Governor's hospital room. An autopsy after the burial? You guys should give us some credit please.
The show is guilty of birthing issues that always seem to die as fast as they are introduced. Case in point is Henry's kidnapping which is just reduced to a conversation between him and Farouk the Head of the SSS who understandably happens to be confused with respect to certain security matters. Farouk informs us that Fagbo the supposed ring leader escapes and that "you know kidnapping is big business these days". Thank you for the reality check Farouk. Henry is less concerned about purging the state of the kidnapping epidemic and pushes instead for information to ensure the kidnap did not have anything to do with Oga's death. We already know it is a case of mistaken identity, and that Musa (a straight faced mole for the SLF by all indications) who jokes around a lot according to Farouk was just yanking Henry's chains when he made claims about having information about a certain assassination attempt on the former Governor's life and a list of suspects in the ring which can only be made available (obviously a hoax) on a need to know basis.
Angela pays a courtesy visit to the Magdalene the recent widow, who gives her two cents on the nature of the cabinet members. She believes that they are ambitious people. She added that the former Governor only trusted Henry and Her. Despite the trust Angela was never in the same room with the Governor to make decisions on state affairs. She was just a glorified pen pusher. So why bother trusting her? Her two cents obviously shines light on Henry's virtues as a potential Chief of staff for Angela in the murky waters of Governance that she finds herself.
The Women affairs commissioner Sheri who has been a source of ridicule in the cabinet especially in the eyes of Notorious Friday Bello, shows her support and assures Angela that a group of women who understand that being a woman in the society is challenging are behind her, and that "they may not be many but that they are formidable".
David the academic or is it political diva according to Osita a colleague, feels trapped by the security details attached to him since his wife became Governor. But his colleague Osita makes him realise that he needs to ride the wave of his new popularity as this is a life changing opportunity, and that he should be nice to his security details or they would not take a bullet for him when the time comes. David jokingly calls Osita an idiot, but the joke is on him as he slips into further depression unable to handle the undue attention and change of roles in his household.
Iffy finally tells Carl that herself was responsible for her mother changing her mind about the resignation. "Isn't that amazing" she blurts out to a surprised Carl. Unfortunately this crucial piece of information that made Friday Bello's wife subtly protest the use of Carl as a sort of spy does not see the light of Day. I would expect that Carl dropped everything including Iffy even if she was in the nude and took a flight to wherever his Dad was even if he was in the nude too apprise him of his discovery and claim his reward even if it was a nude picture of iffy (ok I admit that does not make any sense). But it never comes up so was the whole spy plot just a plot to show us Friday Bello's dissenting wife, and an idle son's attempt at being finally coming of age in the game of politics?
Chief Momoh-Alli (clandestine meetings with Banky a party informant finally assures him of Banky's allegiance alongside some other groups in the event of Angela's rebellion against the demands of the SLF who have made demands for the post of the Deputy Governor to be alloted to Friday Bello). Their also seems to be a source of leak or a mole in the SLF as Banky heard from certain quarter's about the decision of pushing Friday Bello forward as the candidate for Deputy Governor. A conversation that ensued between Angela's Dad and the Big Three of SLF only in attendance.
The SLF during a strategy/confusion meeting that seems to be led by Angry Dr Jalo, despite the presence of White bearded and ever wise Chief Sobifa, and the seemingly mellow Senator Briggs ( Kunle Coker) all in the presence of Friday Bello, decide to misinform the public (I still feel the need to stress that certain plots are introduced only to be ignored in subsequent scenes and episodes considering the urgency with which it was brought up in the first place) and Angela, through a staged public argument between Dr. Jalo and Senator Briggs, that the faction is falling apart on itself, all in a bid to take advantage of Angela's political naiveté and stubbornness. The effect of the public argument between both people is yet to be established. BTW the poor quality of colour grading in the graveyard scene was obvious.
At the barbing salon scene, about to subject himself to a haircut is Paul Asemota who has a shared backstory with Angela and new to the Savannah State scene finally utters his first words "Just make me look good, good and sexy" to the barber after he was asked how he wanted his haircut. Disturbing is the presence of Fagbo a member of the kidnappers' at the Barbing salon. Whether he was playing an extra, or his presence was cryptic would unfold in subsequent episodes or maybe never.
David is robbed off the responsibility of providing one of the most basic needs of humans according to Maslow's hierarchy of needs. By ignoring the talk about moving to the Governors house he brings up the age old question about the acceptability of a husband to move into his wife's house instead of the other way around. In this TV show David's development is by far the most explored because he is the one most affected emotionally by Angela's rise to power and fame. The irony.
Toju for all his ingenuity could not recognise that a Dupe girl is head over heels in love with him. Dupe a composed and calculated young girl that could pass initially for a serial killer had to convince Toju that "Kunle the Geek" is not her boyfriend. She tells Kunle she is not his babe when he refers to her as babe in the spur of the moment or maybe intentionally. Further she dispels the typical assumption of "being girlfriend to a guy just by hanging out without asking her out" with "so a girl is supposed to be pretty and psychic at the same time". She strikes me already as both though. Except I would replace the psychic with psycho. She goes on to tell Toju "I guess you are better with phones than you are with girls" after he finds her phone which she claimed to "misplace" while in his house. Toju ever since this moment was never the same, a fact his Father even noticed (He must be the psychic one because we were never shown how he found out about his son's new found crush/love).
Angela's Dad brings up the Friday Bello bait which she outrightly rejects. A response which he anticipated and a realisation he wanted her to come to by herself. He definitely knows how to pull his daughter's strings and tells her to prepare for war. Later at home during the visit of Angela's Parents-in-law at the Governor's house which almost could have easily gone south because of the security protocols imposed by their "Son's wife" new position, Angela quickly puts out the impending fire by according her husband's parents the right to visit their home without any worry about security protocols. I must confess she played it well. Finally Angela has to persuade David of moving in to their new home by claiming she turns to jelly around him despite leading a state of 15 million people and a certain amount of public servants.
She finally addresses her cabinet and leaves them unsettled as she confirms that she will be carrying out a reshuffling exercise. So like Anne Robinson of the weakest link always starts her elimination with a question, who amongst you still thinks that Savannah State is not a Nigerian State?

So guys this is the recap of The Governor TV show. Episode 5 recap will be posted sometime before episode 6 airs. Please kindly drop your comments about the show.

Season 1 Episode 5: The Iron(y) lady

Paul Asemota (Officer Titus) finally brings “IT” in this episode (cos I would have had to wonder what attracted Angela to him). He visits Savannah State to rekindle an old flame: his ex, the new married Governor. He definitely is not phased by her new political status and clout as he wields his charm confidently over her with results as she submits her private phone number to his allure for a date later in the evening under the guise of working late.
But the question now is if their relationship could not withstand the resistance of the Momoh-Alli’s twenty years ago can Paul unseat the fear he once harbored when he did not have a naira to his name and ignite the love that they once shared in the face of the current political tension in the state and Angela’s nuclear family that is still finding it’s footing while trying to settle into their new life.
Paul’s presence unsettles Henry because he is not aware of any press corps member scheduled to meet with Governor. He in turn begins an investigation into his so called journalistic background without Angela’s knowledge considering the fact that he warned her after the press conference in the first episode to be weary of the press.
The reason behind the cold war between Angela and her Mom which was revealed during their conversation was because Paul was emotionally blackmailed by Angela’s Mom to abandon the relationship. He caved in and bailed out of the relationship and from Angela’s reaction “You should have fought for me” she might still be in to him.
Twenty years later the above scenario subtlety rears its head once again to ruin Angela and Paul’s moment when her mother’s presence in her home threatens to cut short their dinner. Angela responds to David’s text which informed her of her Mother’s visit in their home with “Yes I’ll be on my way shortly my love”. Unknown to David she is having a tension soaked moment with her former lover. The irony.
We strongly hope that Angela is too smart to fall for her lover from her past because there seems to be all shades of wrong written all over him.

Angela delays on the Chinese deal as she does not have all the facts on the deal. She decides to use the instrument of Government: The members of her staff to come up with a presentation by end of the next day on how to deal with the Chinese. “We employ bright and clever people right?” she said to Henry.
She shakes up the cabinet by appraising the health ministry contractors and swapping funds from so called important projects defended by Friday Bello to projects like Sheri's women’s development centre that are long overdue and held back by inadequate funding. She definitely has it in for the commissioner for health who spends most of his time at the state university campus, and Friday Bello who she would rather not have around her. He is such a pest unarguably so even on screen.

Sheri seems to be doing everything right as Angela bestows upon her the responsibility of guiding Angela’s youth and politics initiative platform that Angela is very passionate about which she no longer has time for. Their alliance would be a very formidable one in the future and one that we would love to be explored further.

Toju is in a love triangle (Kunle likes dupe, but Dupe loves Toju who happens to be Kunle’s best friend) and uses the popular “a friend has a problem” line as a pretext to get his sister into helping him get out of the dilemma.
Toju reminds us of our teenage years when we had puppy love, crushes and first kisses with accompanying butterflies in the stomach. Dupe whose parents are separated reminds us of how this plays out in the lives of the affected kids.
For one it could set them in the path of searching for unrequited or unsolicited love, except in this case Toju feels the same way towards her. The subtext is well embedded into the Dupe’s arc.
Kunle’s love for food would not let him see beyond his plate as he is sidelined by his best friend Toju. Toju finally informs Kunle of his affair with Dupe as advised by Iffy. Kunle gets violent and walks out on Toju. Personally I am surprised he did not come back for his food. Toju only makes a feeble attempt to make up with his best friend understandably by calling on Kunle while sitting on the couch. After all who would not want to be the boyfriend to a chick who exhibits no emotions (her acting) while being a first class student in the art of seduction?

David is overwhelmed with his upcoming conference and he expects a visit from the Dean of faculty. The DeanHe still will not let David attend his conference because of the absence of a seasoned lecturer to fill in for him while away. Instead the Vice chancellor of the university pays him a visit, and to my surprise opens the eyes of David to his access to power as the Husband to the Governor and its benefits to the university, a fact his friend Osita has been hammering on. That David fails to realize this as a professor of political science who wrote a journal on modern day democracy is shocking and inconsistent with his claim of worrying and understanding the realities of Angela’s new path after her glorified pen pushing days.
It is no surprise that the Dean of Faculty’s stance on David’s trip is overruled by the Vice chancellor in exchange, though implied for David’s new found influence (as the first husband) with respect to the university’s interest. He and Osita touched up on the much awaited change by the people of Savannah state and how effecting it is a different ball game entirely a reality every Nigerian is living at the moment.

Friday Bello is still not in tune with the fact there is a new Governor on the chair as he keeps insisting that Former Governor Akale approved the Chinese deal. His faux pressure does not have any impact on Angela’s hold of the affairs of the state as she pays no attention to him or even the SLF in their demands.
Their threats are beginning to sound like the male mosquitoes whining around the ears with no bite. What is more worrisome is that they haven’t even given her a taste of what they are capable of which may makes them look weak as she gains more footing in her new found role.
I know they devised to act and appear divided in the graveyard scene after the burial of he former Governor in Episode four but everything from then on does not seem to be, permit me to sound like a strategist: on strat. They still present themselves as a united front in the presence of Angela which brings into question why that scene was even acted out in the first place.

The episode without much emphasis on the SLF makes Angela’s opposition non existent and the show less intriguing with their endless plots to gain traction in the political front. The focus was on how Angela is in control of her tenure. She further turns down the invitation of the Big Three of SLF and demands that they meet in her place: a script right out of Sun Tzu’s Art of War.
They demand for the usual slots in Angela’s cabinet as if that is all there is to politics. Angela declines as expected but with respect to her Father’s presence during the meeting by being diplomatic. She instead insisted on Henry as her chief of staff and that she will drum up a list of candidates for the post of the Deputy Governor. Did I forget that this scene had some intense moments that gives us a glimpse of her true and possibly controlling nature despite her subservience to her husband?

The transitional episode ends with a flirty look from Angela towards Paul, an ending as climatic as waiting to find out her list of candidates for the post of the Deputy Governor.

This episode delves into what it means to change the status quo in a politically corrupt society except Angela is at ease, undeterred in her resolve to forge ahead with change and positive that she is not cut out for a second term as she is that she does not want Friday Bello as her Deputy.
But then it is Savannah not Nigeria.

Please tell me what you think about the show. Is it working for you?

The Queen Bait (Part 1)

Episode seven airs tonight on Ebony life TV at 10pm.

Episode six opens up to a Friday rant. He no longer can tolerate reporting to Angela Ochello (Caroline Chikezie). He thinks she is consolidating her power alluding to the fact that the Big three of SLF are mistaken to think that they have her cornered, which I have said so many times.

As far as I am concerned these guys should even be giving less screen time as their political strategies which are shallow at best are not intimidating to Angela and even less educating to the audience. They are fast becoming a source of humor after more serious issues have been deliberated.

Angela ensures that Commissioner Goke implements the contracts of Ambulance purchase under his ministry. This he fulfils by selling some of his Assets. Angela is less concerned about the source of funds for the purchase as she is more interested in ensuring that contracts and projects are implemented. We remember it was the absence of an ambulance, which eventually led to the death of the former Governor. Even though the SLF played a part (When they seemed intelligent)

Angela uses her meal times as a meeting theme with allies to broker deals and discuss power moves in this episode on several occasions. Except she denies her husband the same privilege.

The writers are quick to give Angela witty dialogues. But some of them have no substance. An example is how fast she was ready to implement strategies of the “think tank” without even examining if the recommendations are well-intentioned or not. We hope the meeting with the Chinese is not just talk.

Toju confides in his dad about his fight with Kunle. “Did I ever tell you there is nothing new under the sun” David tells his son while Toju looks at his phone and misses Dupe’s call. This should set the tone if he ever finds out about Angela’s under the radar meeting with Paul Asemota her first love as he tells Toju “It happens like that all the time. He is just upset that is all, if there is any substance to your friendship he will come around”. I hope he takes his own advice if and when he realizes Angela had a hush-hush meeting with Paul.

Angela feels sordid and soiled as she peruses the 500MB of sleaze Henry hands her. “Once I go through this door there is no backing out”. As usual Henry justifies her actions of digging dirt and adds that his family is his coping mechanism and a source of distraction from all the filth. But can Angela say the same?

We would love to see Frank outside of his meetings with the Governor and with his Family could earn him more depth than his deep voice has.

Angela confirms that she likes the Lakeside when Henry asks. He also asks about Paul the “Journalist” which she responded to in the affirmative. But good story telling should give a reaction shot to show he is skeptic about the Journalist and the fact that he is on to him even though Angela is oblivious of this.

Dupe is more mature about Kunle’s hurt and accuses Toju of ignoring her calls. She wears her usual look which suits her mood in this scene and asks him to man up and talk to Kunle like a friend would. The writers of this show are good at using this mean looking chic in delivering subtexts in ways that are unbelievable.
Basically in few words she told Toju that Kunle’s reaction was normal because friends feel hurt when betrayed. So Toju should be a friend and talk to Kunle about the situation.

Angela is guilty of always trying to make Henry feel comfortable in her presence. This time she asks henry if he plays the game of chess which she learnt from her Father. Henry claims he could and Angela promises that they should catch up on a game of chess some other time.

Henry receives a package which I suspect is some dirt about Paul Asemota. He does not open it but we cannot wait to know the truth about Paul Asemota’s backstory before Angela became Governor.

Finally Angela makes it home and she has a moment with David. Something we have not seen in a while. For a moment we felt she had the will and tenacity to carry on the mantle of leadership for so long because truth be told she is slaying at the office and she looks to be loving it. In truth she is unsure how she feels about her new Job. In six months she would be able to comment more on that she tells David.

Chief Gbenga Momoh-Alli and Banky have one of their usual clandestine meetings to talk about party politics. They mention how the Big three want the succession plan carried out as if it were more than Friday Bello becoming Governor which Angela is highly opposed to. Her father thinks the state will become ungovernable for Angela if she does not give in to their demands despite the fact there is growing respect for her administration. These Men (Jalo, Briggs and Thompson) should grow some and do what real opponents do. Get in to it and start digging real dirt to at least assassinate the incumbent’s character and cripple the states work force if possible instead of making empty threats as always like “All bets are off” if she doesn’t accede to their demands.

Angela kills two birds with a stone as she shuts down further talk about her avoiding her mom and her whereabouts the other night by telling David that they will only end up fighting and that He should just leave it. “I said was sorry”. An attempt at restoring their relationship from hitting the rocks. They also use this rare moment (since she is now runs a busy schedule) to catch up on the welfare of their kids and they end up cuddling. We would love to see more love scenes to get our blood circulating as seen in Africa Magic’s Hush.

Angela makes David comfortable as she does with everybody, with the Idea of being able to lobby her on behalf of the University for funding. If being embarrassed at doing this is his own way for manipulating Angela into doing this fine. But I just would expect that a man of his timber and caliber should man up and handle the situation. In this case his wife. He keeps acting like Angela being in the position of power is new. After all she was the Deputy Governor professor of political science. Talking about being unethical because you lobby your wife. Politics despite its ethics is a dirty man’s game.

Diplomacy and political correctness are monikers for grime and under dealings. Well at this point David makes a clear case for the saying “those who can’t, teach” (Touché). She eventually makes him understand that if priority was given too education in the first place they would be no need for lobbying. She promises she would look into it as she studies the education brief from the commissioner of education.

Dialogues involving Musa is a constant source of confusion. In this episode for a minute he tells Friday Bello that he got injured during the process of spying on the Governor. “Hassan the new CSO happened to my neck” was the best part of that narration. But he obliterated the high I got when he continued with “I was just minding my own business when Hassan came from nowhere and grabbed my throat before I could defend myself. I thought you were spying on the Governor. So what do you mean by minding your own business? It would be sad if he writers did not see that blooper. We still love the TV series anyways.

Musa was detained based on the assumption that he had something to do with the Governor’s death. Apart from the fact that we know where his allegiance lies, what was the outcome of the investigation on him? Also he has been redeployed but are we not meant to be privy to the details of the investigation especially as Henry claims an Autopsy was to be carried out on the corpse of the long buried former Governor to determine the complicity of Musa in his death.

Friday is still delusional that he would become Governor so he influences Musa’s redeployment to keep him in his security detail. This decision is critical in pushing the story forwards as we will see later.

Angela visits the hospital to see boy she gave the kiss of life and give support to the mother. She reminds us of the fact that she is a mother and an exemplary politician unlike others, which would eventually be a boost for her in the opinion poll.

Toju receives a call from Kunle for a meeting to iron out there differences. If I were Kunle it would not be up to me to keep the peace. Yep I am proud like that. All that talk about how we have been friends from childhood and how Dupe isn’t talking to him any longer (which hurts him by the way) is just a gimmick for: Dude you are the Governor’s son and I still want to be your friend. I mean Toju “stole his supposed girlfriend”. Now I know in a game of chicken Kunle sooner than the other party would cave in.

What do you feel about the plot of the TV show? Kindly share your thoughts.

The Queen Bait. (Part 2)

Episode seven airs tonight on Ebony life TV at 10pm.

Over another meal time with Angela, Henry who hardly touches his chicken wonders why Angela has an interest in a certain person as he doubts this person would want to involve himself with the administration in any way. Angela appreciates his opinion and tells him to secure the Lake house for another discrete meeting. This time with the person of interest. Her insisting that Henry finish his food either means Henry has an eating disorder (which I doubt giving his stature) or Angela has a fetish for other people talking while eating.

Henry informs her ratings received a bump because of her visit to the hospital BTW. This places the SLF in an awful position as they keep up with their empty threats. A meeting is also set up with the commissioner of education. A lot definitely happens during mealtime with Angela.

So Kunle sucks up to the first son. Suddenly Toju the self- acclaimed player turns preachy. He tells Kunle, “seriously?” after Kunle says “A player must play” in reference to Dupe having a hot friend he just might want to get closer to. I knew he was sucking up. If not to Kunle at least to Dupe. Toju calls him an Idiot just like his father does to Osita. I guess the Apple does not fall far from the tree after all.

David flares up when Angela is absent for a family dinner without first running it by him. “You should have told me” he tells her on the phone after waiting on her at the dinner table. Angela instead is having a clandestine meeting with Ahmed Jalo, Son of Dr. Jalo. David’s journey to a meltdown is almost at the final destination, as this seems to be the last straw because he is beginning to feel like the fifth wheel in their relationship.

Her meeting with Ahmed Jalo over a meal time again gives us enough screen time to get to know Ahmed and also see Angela more interested in the meal than her propostions. He claims he does not share the political ideals of his father even though he manages his father’s business interest. How he keeps those two separate as church and state makes him an asset and instrumental to her next move to blindside the Big Three.

“All bets are off!” she says as she speaks with her Dad on the phone while she walks in to the house to an unreceptive David who walks into the bedroom as she tries to approach him. She asks her Dad to call them to a meeting to inform them of her a decision with respect to the Deputy Governor slot which is still unfilled. After her call she meets David in the room and raises her voice on him. The first time since we have seen in this show. Is she beginning to see her husband as one of her staff? She pleads for help from David as she explains away her demanding job and the expectations. Their conversation was heated and I loved it.

David: I do not care if you are the queen of London. I expect you to pick up the call to cancel. The dinner we agreed on.

Angela: I tried to get Lola to call you
David: One more thing since when do you get your ADC to call to deliver your messages, are we going to be running our lives or family as a committee now? Your Excellency!

Angela: Don’t call me that!

She throws some papers in the air first for effect I believe and secondly in dismay or maybe the other way round. She wakes up to an empty bed in the morning as David’s meltdown pushes him to focus more on work and possibly alcohol.

She meets with Farouk the SS boss before her meeting with the Big three and asks him for the support of her administration, after confirming that the background information they have on Ahmed Jalo is squeaky clean.

While waiting for Angela Dr. Jalo shoots himself in the foot by running his mouth about how Angela cannot refuse their offer of installing Friday Bello as Deputy.

Briggs: What if she refuses Senator Briggs?

Dr. Jalo: We will delay the appointment of the Deputy and manipulate the press and make it look like a delay on her part.

Briggs: It embarrasses her maybe but of what use is that to us?

Dr. Jalo: Negative publicity makes her both vulnerable and desperate perhaps she will be more favorably disposed to Friday as her deputy.

That is their plan! I said it these men need to be eliminated from the show. This is definitely not due to a “fault in our stars” I just had to say that. The writer’s need to be more in-depth with the killer instincts for Angela’s opposition like I keep reiterating. Taking your time to choose a suitable Deputy does not make you are incapable or in this part of the world as we have seen. It just indicates you are being cautious given the level of corruption. So negative publicity? Especially when she is garnering support? Maybe I should ask Buhari.

Instead Angela gives them the ultimate queen bait. She tells them the appointment is contingent on their approval. Need I remind you in the game of chess, a queen bait is as good as being between the devil and the deep blue sea? She finally did to them what they wanted to do to her. She finally did to them what they pretended to be at the graveside. Divided. She gave them Dr. Jalo’s son as the candidate for the Deputy Governor. She gave them an offer they cannot refuse, like the Godfather. Except she is the daughter of Chief Momoh-Alli

Angela explains the obvious to Henry below

Angela: Dr. Jalo acted like I handed him a snake.

Henry: What if he refuses?

Angela: Then the Good doctor would have to explain to his son why he is not good enough to be the deputy governor.

Except I do not know if Ahmed Jalo is keen on being the Deputy. Angela must have made him too an offer he might not refuse.

Friday Bello digs his grave further when Angela realizes he has not being paying contractors of the state. He just might not only be losing the Deputy Governor’s position but his tenuous grip on the finance of the state might be drawing closer to an end.

Dr. Jalo wins the argument about whether or not to accept his son’s nomination like Angela expected, even though he does not convince Briggs and Sobifa enough that his son would be loyal to their cause. It is easy to understand how Dr. Jalo caves in to Angela’s non-acceptance of Friday Bello as Deputy. The bait. This attests to the fickleness of loyalty in Politics. After all there are no permanent friends in politics only permanent interests. “Blood is thicker than water” a tired Chief Sobifa finally succumbs.

Senator Brigg still believes Ahmed would not listen to anybody based on a previous encounter with him. “So we wait” says a tired Chief Sobifa and strike when Angela does not expect. Can you imagine? That is the new strategy! Do I need any more proof these dudes are clueless. Dr. Jalo becomes a tool that would outlive his usefulness because of his somewhat Allegiance to Angela by virtue of his son’s appointment. Angela turns the tide with her bait.

Iffy accuses her boyfriend Carl Bello being AWOL. Whenever Carl Bello’s appears on screen I sense something ominous. It is ok if he is does not get any screen time but why explain it by equating it to the negligence of Iffy. They squash this with iffy inviting him to Jaquelin’s party (Who is she? Did I even spell it correctly?).

But is the best explanation for Carl’s no screen time him ignoring Iffy? After all Iffy’s P.O.V is not the audience’s. The issue is that her accusation was dropped on us without warming us into it. I wish it had been more organic just like the kidnapping.

Drunken David walks in to the house. Angela barely welcomes him she hears of an imminent strike of the Teachers’ Union on television. A strike which could have been averted had Angela been briefed by the state of affairs on education.

Also had the strike been linked to the Big three then I would believe they finally saw to it she wished she hadn’t stepped on their toes. But it was just an erring commissioner that made it happen. Or maybe not.

She confirms that the only reason this strike occurred is because the commissioner of education withheld information concerning the sector. The union leaders agree to call off the strike easily based on her assurances in the absence of the concerned Commissioner.

She lashes out her soft and seductive anger towards Henry. She asks him to ensure it does not occur again and as always tells henry to finish his tea before leaving her office. It must be her fetish to watch people consume food like I noted earlier. After all it was not his fault.

Before Henry sets to leave he receives a notification of Iffy twerking at a party- Jacqueline’s. She is worried about the image. But is her worry about her daughter’s public behavior and seemingly lack of family values thereof or the negative effect it might have on her as a Governor or both. Angela the answer is this. What would Obama do?

Confrontations
Season 1 Episode 7

Before I commence. I sincerely apologize for the typographical errors in episode six. It happened out of excitement to meet my deadline. I needed the post to be up Thursday morning. With that out of the way, here is to wishing you a fun reading experience.

The Governor is six episodes deep, halfway through and Angela after her slight victory over the Shining life faction, is in all over her head after the teachers strike and her daughters indiscretion made the news. There are a lot of mounting tensions in this episode. The stage for her ultimate challenge as the Governor of Savannah state and a wife is being set. Or are we there yet?

Angela brings up Iffy’s twerking with David and it only deepens the rift between both of them. David seems happy this indicates her job as the Governor is affecting her role as a mother. He also feels vindicated for telling her to choose family over politics except she only perceives chauvinism as a result Angela goes, “Of all the people I would have thought you would have at least had my back”.

The next confrontation is between Angela and Friday Bello. Friday is comfortable with the unpaid contractors and the teachers strike despite both circumstances being a direct result of his manner of management of the state finance. In his defense he clarifies that contractors handle Government contracts knowing that it is a long-term investment a standpoint that Angela is uncomfortable with. Friday Bello disregards her blatantly and tells her “Your Excellency I did not come here to be lectured about the morality of Governance, you just don’t understand how this things work”. If Angela insists he pays the debts owed then she should write a memo to the effect.

Dr. Jalo during an interview before the Deputy Governor’s inauguration turns around a hundred and eighty degrees as he publicly praises Angela and chips in him and Chief Momoh-Alli being long time friends, while Senator Briggs and Chief Thompson watch on TV as they are being sold out and left in the cold.

Henry questions Friday Bello with regard to his affiliation with Musa and Friday as usual gets on Henry’s nerves as he tells Henry he has been acting like a demi-god. But that he should realign himself if he intends to have a political future in the state. Henry replies, “I only know about Donkey’s and sticks. Bark of the Governor’’. Friday Bello is definitely one to walk off threats as he teases Henry afterwards saying “or is she giving you some?’’ As we know Henry is a stuck up responsible man, a Knight in shining armor who holds family in high esteem, and will do anything to defend Angela’s honor. He deals Friday Bello a swift punch that sends him on the trot to Musa for retribution. Am I the only one that hopped with pleasure? Friday Bello had it coming. He is nauseating.

During the inauguration party of Ahmed Jalo, Friday receives a call about a party convention and the visit of their party leader, Alhaji Kazeem Yunusa. Friday makes demands for the funding of the convention from Angela. He emphasizes the need for Angela to respond positively or risk sending the wrong messages to Alhaji that she would rather cater to state issues than fund his outrageous bills. I must say that I was surprised that Angela caves in despite the paucity of funds. Friday for all intents should be the brain behind the SLF and not those comedians. He is the cause of Angela’s entire problem at the moment whether consciously or unintentionally.

Angela tries a last ditch effort to make Friday Bello provide the funds for their obligations. She plans with Henry to leak news of an impending audit, which should rattle Friday Bello in sourcing for funds to cover his excesses. The never rattled commissioner would have tricks up his sleeves to counter Angela’s manipulations I believe. That should make for another intense showdown between both as they grapple for power. Henry commends Angela for the bright idea, but she downplays it as a necessary evil she wished she could avoid. Angela darling you have opened the Pandora’s Box, just be in the moment. That way you will not be held back from dealing with the evil machinations that are out to misguide you.

Angela’s penultimate confrontation is with her daughter as she makes Iffy understand that the Ochello’s are in the eye of the public which means she has to conduct her affairs responsibly especially in the open. Iffy would not have this after all she did not have a say in her mother becoming Governor. Angela makes her understand that life happens and people adapt. The tables have turned without Angela even realizing. She is becoming her mother who she still resents. Her mom censored Angela’s childhood to secure her a bright future. Except Angela is in control of her life and reconsidering the very person her mom would not let her have an affair with when she was younger.

Angela makes Iffy realize she needs to watch her friends closely as a crying Iffy tries to fight for her freedom. Below is an excerpt of their dialogue.

Angela: But from now on watch the people you hang around with.

Iffy: So you are now going to censor my friends too?

Angela: What do you think? Because of your status you are going to attract people around you because of what they can get. I mean what kind of friend would post that picture online or sell it to the newspapers?

Iffy has realizes the truth in her moms words and visits Carl Bello. Carl the usual suspect immediately recognizes that Musa leaked the picture. Iffy cuts ties with Carl despite her love for him because of her trust issues. He allegedly is the only one that took the picture of her twerking. Good riddance though.

Angela confides in David about her fights with every body in her circle. David comforts her and promises Angela a nice massage after a very hot bath. If only that would cast away all of her problems. David justifies Alhaji’s travelling expense. The country has the highest entourage in the world according to research David tells Angela. Alhaji is not an exception when he travels. Angela claims she would not tow that route whenever she travels and David responds “that we wait to see”.

Carl Bello confronts his father about planting Musa in his life as a ploy to destroy the Ochello’s. Carl’s real concern is the effect it has on his relationship. It is a collateral damage according to his father who denies complicity with Musa’s albeit commendable effort. “This is war and it is one I intend to win. There will be casualties and this is just the beginning”. Mother and son get a grip and see the big picture he implies while he makes plan to host (a duty for chief of staff or commissioner of special duties) Alhaji the party leader to gain traction within the party’s rank. His wife ends up telling him that he should keep his politics away from the home to maintain sanity as he is beginning to create a vacuum between him and his son. I never saw love between father and son anyway. Carl had always looked like a tool for Friday.

Somewhere in the state Paul Asemota, Angela’s former lover has overstayed his welcome in the hotel he resides. He is strapped for cash. A pretext for getting in touch with Angela.

During family breakfast Angela’s mom visits and there is a meeting of three generations. Grandmother, mother and daughter. A convergence of Angela’s past as seen in Iffy and possibly her future as seen in her Mother. Angela’s mom attempts to address the elephant in the room. Instead she only makes it worse as Angela insists her mother leave her family matter and defends Iffy’s action. It was perfect timing for Angela to underscore her mom’s questionable parenting skills which stems from Angela’s hurt when she was younger, in love and helpless. Excuse my reiteration, but does Angela even realize she has becoming the mother she resents.

Paul calls Angela and she excuses her self from her family and receives the call in private. We know why Paul called but she doesn’t. She makes plans to meet with him later. At the moment she is besieged with state matters one of which is the recent killings involving the Kanuri and Egba people.

In the situation room or Governor’s I couldn’t help but notice Ahmed Jalo’s demure presence. The so-called captain of industry observed like a boy in the midst of adults during the discussion of the communal conflict and killings. Angela delegates ideation for conflict resolution to him as he claims to have business interests in the community.

Finally Alhaji in flesh. Her initial meeting with him did not end well at least in Angela’s mind. As the visitor does not give Angela the attention she merits. Instead he asks Ahmed Jalo to sit with him for a discourse. Angela for a minute almost confronts Alhaji for being rude to her and further intended to ditch the convention under the guise of the community killings. But Henry dissuades her and pleads with her to attend (or else play into Friday Bello’s hands) under the condition that he will broker the peace between the community leaders of both warring factions by offering them a settlement.

Angela agrees for the settlement as long as cash is not involved. Henry offers the appeasement to the community leaders. It was not until Henry added naming certain streets after them did they finally consider the offers. Totally Nigerian or is it “Savannahan”.

At the convention Angela averts the final confrontation. Instead she tells Alhaji “she tends to create bigger shoes” a retort to Alhaji’s speech were he laid claims to former Governor Peter Akale’s shoes as impossible to fill.

David meets a Dame, Connie Jones, the lobbyist as she hopes to be. They both share a moment as they stare into the star filled sky. What is surprising is for a lobbyist she does not recognize the husband to the Governor. Henry interrupts their conversation and tells David that Alhaji would like to meet with him.

Alhaji praises the Professor during their meet and greet session. He reminds Angela that she needs to lean in to her husband’s wise council even though she is Governor. Alhaji is a male chauvinist who appears to be frustrate Angela’s effort in her bid to prove every one wrong that a woman as the Governor is as good as or even better than a man in the same position.

David resumes his conversation with Connie who is taken by the Professor’s presence. This could have been possible after she realizes he is the first gentleman of the state. David mentions that all the stars look the same, and Connie references that some are different an allegory for David’s status as the husband to the governor.

She asks for his number without asking. David reads between the lines and asks instead. Hope this is not a ploy by some unscrupulous elements to derail the lives of the first family even though Angela is already on the path given her clandestine meetings with Paul.

The transitional scene ends with David rejecting a bottle of wine Angela offered, nicely of course. David who had always resorted to the bottle as a source of social obligation, pacifier and male libido suddenly rejects it. Suddenly we see the reason why as he receives a text message from Connie Jones. The text reads as follows “Tonight was fun. Hardly ever get to meet men who are sexy and intelligent”. Has David found a new muse? Are the Ochello’s heading for stormy days that will result in the mother of all confrontations in Angela’s world.

The TV show continues tonight at 10pm on Ebony Life TV Channel 165 on DSTV. So what is your take on the events in The Governor?

All roads lead to nowhere
Season 1 Episode 8 recap

As always I apologize for any typographical errors in the previous recap. With that out of the way let us delve right in last weeks episode.

Angela is not infallible after all as the candidate she touted and dangled in front of the SLF to spite them has been compromised. But enough of that for now. Let us open with her home where everything begins including charity.

Angela the advocate of meals during discussions does not feel hungry enough to eat in her own home. She had to be persuaded to have a meal at home by Patrick the chef and her husband. Is she beginning to feel detached because of the requirements of her job and meetings with Paul Asemota?

Angela has a talk with Iffy so as to douse the tension between them. Iffy still feels her mother Angela has her all misunderstood thinking she is a prostitute because of her behavior on the dance floor at the private party. Angela explains that she is just being protective and encouraged her to attend the youth and politics initiative.

Toju informs his parents that he is inviting his friends over as they have a video that they are working on for online publishing. David strongly advises him to refrain from posting anything on the Internet for now that could bring the attention of the public on the first family. Toju explains to his folks that he would not embarrass the family with the content that him and his friends are working on.

Professor Ochello receives a visitor. The visitor is Connie the lobbyist played by Kathy Onwu a former beauty queen. She claims she represents a client that has an interest in youth and politics hence the visit. But it seems she is more interested in having launch with the professor than discussing the issues of youths and politics. She assumes the role of a housewife as she treated the professor to a lunch without the professor lifting a finger. Something he didn’t allow Angela do the last time she came to his office. My office my rules if I recollect. She insists on a dinner to further exploring mutual interests with her client in the youth and politics arena. Osita walks in on David and his guest Connie. He later warns the professor after Connie leaves to be careful because it was the likes of Connie that cost him his marriage.

Commissioner Friday Bello would not back off the Governor’s tree as advised by Henry. He requests for discretionary allowance for the members of the house in the face of pressure on the state funds. Angela surprisingly requests for a breakdown of the requirements of the funds as evidence in the event of public scrutiny.

While the adults are at work the kids give have fun at home. Toju and the gang discuss the music video they want to upload. Dupe excuses herself from the gang and sits with Iffy. Dupe becomes a sounding board for Iffy. Iffy’s mind is not made up about Carl. She loves him but still does not trust him. Dupe draws from the experience of her parent’s divorce and advices Iffy to forgive Carl because after all he is human. Besides if she understood that she might be able to manage her expectations.

Angela’s trip to the Atoke community was cancelled because of the potholes on the road that could swallow a bungalow. Commissioner Goke is summoned to explain the reason why the road fully paid for as per its repairs is still in an unusable state. It turns out that the company handling the contract for the Atoke road belongs to Dr. Jalo.

The SLF ponder on the person behind Angela’s disruptive moves. They suspect her father is responsible but Chief Sobifa believes Chief Momoh-Alli should know better. Senator Briggs is interested in whether the allocation would be released or not. He asks Dr. Jalo what the Deputy Governor is doing to ensure that the funds are released. Dr. Jalo instead responds to Briggs that they should acquiesce to her demands of declaring what they need the money for.

Angela asks Henry about former Governor Akale’s decision-making process. Henry explains to Angela that party politics dictates which roads get fixed. There are a lot of grey areas he admits. Henry also admits to keeping his eyes off the ball while he was trying to protect the Governor hence his inability to ensure project monitoring and execution.

Angela has a clandestine meeting with a reporter who happens to be working on the cause of the high death rates on the roads in the state. She links the contractor responsible for the construction of the Atoke road to the Deputy governor and his father. Angela ensures that no other person is privy to the details of her investigation and asks the reporter to work on other award winning investigations while Angela takes care of the Jalo’s.

Iffy is in the government house for the youth and politics initiative as her mother asked. Henry discusses with Iffy with regards to her twerking incidence. She explains that everything has changed since her mother became Governor. Henry asks Iffy to understand her mother’s plight and give her a break. He further explains that Angela loves her so much and she would do anything to protect her. But people would want to exploit Angela’s love for her daughter and use it to discredit Angela.

Angela accuses Ahmed Jalo of being dishonest about his business association with his Dad. Apparently without his knowledge his father made him director to one of his company’s immediately after he was born. Therefore exposing him to further investigations by the authorities. A scandal that would have caused a statewide uproar had it been made public. Angela’s involvement with the selection process for the deputy governor would have put her too under the microscope again. She chose not to expose Dr. Jalo to avoid attention. She instead strikes a deal with Dr. Jalo that protects him and his son. The question now is what is the price that Dr. Jalo has to pay for not completing his construction contract.

Angela signs a pact with the teachers union. This is an indication that the funds required to appease the union have been provided for. At this point the source of the funds is still a mystery. I suspect Dr. Jalo’s involvement in the construction scandal paved way for this deal with the teacher’s union to be sealed.

Apparently Iffy took Dupe’s advice and forgives Carl. Carl being in the mushy mood apologizes and even exposes the fact that his Dad was glad with the outcome of her picture being leaked online. Iffy because of her talk with Henry decides that their meetings would be secretive going forward so the likes of Friday Bello and his goon Musa would not be able to exploit their relationship again.

Friday Bello is invited to the Governors office in the presence the Attorney General, Henry and the commissioner Goke. Angela presents Friday with the investigation that is carried out on all the contracts in the state. The investigation revealed that 75 percent of the contractors responsible for uncompleted contracts that were fully paid for by the Akale administration were members of the house. I would have thought the involvement of the house members would have been a basis for Angela not to pay the members their discretionary allowance. Instead Angela strong-arms Friday Bello to ensure the projects are completed within six months instead of facing the wrath of the EFCC.

As usual Friday takes the news to the SLF. They agree to complete the projects they were paid for. Dr. Jalo appeared quiet in this regard. But the SLF agrees to unite so as to curb Angela’s hold on the state of affairs before they lose whatever grounds or political clout they possess.

Angela has a meeting with Paul Asemota surprisingly in her office. It seems the Ochello couple are mirroring their actions unconsciously, as David had Connie, a woman who has her eyes set on him in his office on the same day. Angela almost kissed Paul Asemota but Henry interrupted the moment. Is Henry bidding his time with respect to revealing the outcome of investigation on Paul Asemota or he does not have any background information?

Paul claims a friend put him in a financial fix and pretends he does not need any financial assistance from Angela. Angela insists on helping and she handed him a cheque of 250,000 Naira, roughly six hundred dollars in todays Nigeria. She then asks him to send a proposal of his innovative project that so can have a look. Hope Paul would not disappoint her if he were given the contract, thus exposing her.

At home Angela falls asleep barely seconds after David excuses himself from a cuddly moment. His phone beeps and it is a message from Connie. In it she includes an image of herself. As if David can forget for a minute what her full-bodied figure looks like. Well if this is what the youth and politics initiative is all about then count me in. The professor in his usual dry humour utters sexy professor.

Episode 9 airs tonight on Ebony life TV at 10pm. What are your thoughts on the show? Is the recap accurate or does it need improvements? Your comments and suggestions would be highly appreciated. Have a lovely day.

I did a recap of the show because it felt like a breathe of fresh air. Along the line there seemed to be a lot of deus ex machina that was ingrained into the story line that saved Angela too many times. I know in real life things happen. The essence of drama is to draw us into life as much as possible so that even if something were to happen out of the ordinary we would be like "I did not see that coming but I believe it". I was rooting for the TV show. But it derailed from my expectations with respect to the quality. Hence the reason I quit. Also I almost felt like I did not have any readers even though I could see the amount of views. The show is over though. But I could do a recap just for you sha. As regards how to catch the show. The finale aired some weeks back. It has been replaced by the "Sons of the Caliphate". My two cents about it. If the first episode is anything to go by, then "The Governor" rocks. Went off track there. You can download the EL TV app. You should be able to catch up the show there. I never really used to understand the appreciation bloggers, writers or creators of anything had for feedback until now. You sure made my morning.

Just saw the movie "The Governor" moments back but I will choose "The sons of the caliphate"(Which I just saw few days back) over it. I kinda like the way storyline in the later goes, one keeps getting engrossed as the plot gets longer.Although am I seem not to find where to download its Season3, I will be on the lookout.
