I saw a very touching thread earlier today here on the Sports Section of Nairaland, about how she (Chierika Ukogu) sponsored herself in order to participate in the Olympic Games,without receiving any support from the Nigerian Olympic Committee, very sad. But hey! That didn't deter her from representing her dear country at the Rio Games despite being born in Pennsylvania,USA. She trained with the US Olympic team, and she is currently doing well at the Games, having progressed to the Quarter-Final.
