Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher insists new Manchester
United signing Paul Pogba will prove to be good value for money
despite his record-breaking price tag, Metro has reported. United completed a deal worth around £90 million for the France
international on Tuesday in a world record transfer that has generated
plenty of debate, but the Sky Sports pundit believes it could prove good business for the Red Devils.

According to Metro , Carragher insisted: "He will be worth it if he plays
well It looks expensive and it is expensive."
The sizeable price tag has been enhanced further by the fact that he
initially left United for just £800,000 four years ago.

But Carragher believes that fans across England should be
enthusiastic about the prospect of seeing the 23-year-old back in the
Premier League, although he could not hide his disappointment at seeing him head back to Liverpool's arch-rivals.
"We should be pleased that he is coming to the Premier League. We have been moaning that Barcelona and Real Madrid take the best players from our league.

"We have got one of the world’s best. Unfortunately he’s at
Manchester United," Carragher added.
Pogba joins a United side that is likely to attract plenty of expectation this season, particularly with the arrivals of Henrikh Mkhitaryan andZlatan Ibrahimovic earlier in the summer.
