My interview experience with MP was quite different, as after I finished telling the interviewers about myself and experiences...
The next thing they said was that I was too experienced for the trainee position, as a sharp guy, I started indirectly pleading with them that "Nobody is infallible" that all I know is about 80% and not up to 100% of telecommunication, that they should give me a chance, a trial will convince them....

Later the lady interviewer then asked why I wanted to leave my current company after 2 years of experience then I told them "I don't feel challenged anymore and also that am moving on with my career" then the lady told me about the Mp graduate trainee program and the possibility of failing out after 8weeks of training and examination, then I told her life is all about risk that I would surely make it....

fast forwarding the gist, the male interviewer then asked what project have I undergone in my company ? Then, I explained to him telling him about the "air tel and smile" fiber back haul project I undergone sometimes ago, my response then prompted the lady to respond by saying what option of my two strong experiences did I want in MP (Project manager or Field Engineer) then I chose the latter. Finally, they told me they will get back to me.



Analyse and give me the probability of getting the offer...

Or you could just wait for them to get back to you. You're probably anxious now. Sometimes we over criticize our efforts. You have done your part, it's up to them now and I seriously doubt anyone can accurately tell you your chance of being picked. But then again, what do I know?

cos from the clip U presented here, I will join the interviewers to say that U ARE TOO EXPERIENCED for a trainee position

Very simple.

1) You are too experienced.
2) That doesn't stop you from proceeding to the next stage.
3) Because you are experienced led to the last question about your preference.
4) Lastly, the only thing that might affect your selection is the preference you chose. That is if they do not want anyone for that department.

The interviewer should have asked you why you were willing to take a lower paying job compared to your current expected experienced staff salary.

You interest should have been along the line of:
Flexibilty that their program offers,
The fact that it's a structured training,
The fact that you believe the company invest and support learning and development of their staff,
Your ambition to work for the company whilst helping them to achieve their strategic goals (You could suggest their implementation of 4G network or whatever)


In any case, I personally wouldn't hire you if you are over qualified because it's almost certain you will only increase my staff turnover rate

You are right about body language but dude was asked technical competency questions which will be judged/rated using answers he provided rather than the confidence he displayed whilst delivering his answers. They are recruiting an engineer not a professional with strong interpersonal and communications ability.

I'm confident he will resign from the position if offered since it won't offer him the level of responsibility he is accustomed to.

bros have you worked with a telecom servicing company that does a similar job as MPI? if NO then your over Sabi too much they may not call you for the job of a field engineer cos you don't know anything.

I did the test online last 2 wks and i score 58% . Initially i did not apply for job under MPI, i was suprised when i checked my email box that i saw invitation an online aptitude test..

After that test with the certificate sent to me, i did not hear anything from MPI.
