Please i want to know if it is bad for someone to carry a laptop.Yesterday i was going to install on my laptop an anti virus and a game called Diner Dash when some group of police men told me to stop.I obeyed them and stopped.They said they wanted to search the car because of the alarming rate of robbery here in my town.The looked at the passagers seat and saw the laptop there, They told me what i was doing with it and i told them the reason and my purpose.The next question they asked was, WHO BE THE OWNER OF THIS CAR,i answered and told they it was for my father.I was told to give them the papers and i did.Could you believe that they did not search the car again,the next thing i heard was,AL YA,FOLLOW US TO THE STATION.I believe the reason was that i was told cool with them that day,I asked them for what,the next thing was a slap on my face.Jesus,for two minutes i wasn't thinking about Chelsea and QPR(Through out that day i was just happy that i will watch my team play.Eventually,i did not watch that match that same day,How bad was that though) so i drove in my dad's audi A6 down to the police station.
The first thing i heard was, SHEBI U CON DEY PROVE DSTURB FOR ROAD NA HERE U GO FOR DIE TODAY,AL YA PUSH UR USELESS POLO, I was shocked on hearing that because i was not even given any reason to be at the station so why all this.One of the police men brought a gun and hit it on my head, I was given a statement to write, And i asked,what is this for, The next thing they said that i am a fraudster(YAHOO YAHOO BOY) that i am the owner of the laptop and the car.They also said that i used my dad's name to buy his car,
By this time my phone was seized and i could not communicate with any body.I told them that am not the owner of the car that i own the laptop.I was told to open it and they checked everything and saw nothing.Only what they saw was links to nairaland and Chelsea website.They looked at me and i could see that angry face, I overhear one of them saying that this job must not spoil today, make we make am fear na, make we hanger am or put am for jail, At this time my dad was calling me already because i told him that i wanted to buy something and it was over an hour.THAT DAY WAS MY WORST DAY IN MY LIFE,
One police woman brought my phone for me and told me. pls call your dad fast, i was happy and at that moment i fell in love with her(If i had the opportunity i would have bedded her.i later found out that she was married)I call him and within 5 minutes he shown up, Come and see fire that day.My dad insulted the DPO and asked to see the police.The one that slapped me was given a slap by my dad and i was shokced.They started saying that, WE NOR KNOW SAY NA UR PIKIN SIR, WE ARE SORRY.At that moment i was without my polo on,
At the end i was paid for damages(#25,000,i told our lawyer that laptop screen broke through them,but it was a big lie.Wanted them to suffer too.I use the money later today for our match against wigan)So that woman saved me that day if not i for die that day.Thank God sha say na so e reach, Please police should stop all this, Not everybody holding a laptop is a YAHOO YAHOO Boy.Is it a bad thing to have a laptop, Please ur comment will be appreciated

They can treat anybody like that.  The young man was just unlucky. It may be your turn tomorrow.

Well, i remember one sunday, i was leaving school with my friends
and he had his laptop in the boot, after the policeman (somewhere around Ikeja)
had seen the particulars and all the car papers , he said he wanted to check the boot

My friend got out and opened it, they saw our bags and laptop, dude started to ask for
the papers. We were all shocked, but my friend started speaking to him in yoruba,
that we were students ooh, Another policeman, apparently the senior came to see what was wrong
my friend told him, and then after seeing our ID Cards they let us go.

My friend was like, instead of the dude to ask for sunday-sunday tonic, we would have given him
but he went ahead to stupidly harass us = empty stomach.

i think its just their frustration that leads to all this nonsense attacks, the 'yahoo yahoo' boys
they cannot catch because they are the same people that will hail them in their tinted 'big car'
while they hand out a measly N500

This is the country we call ours.
