The message of this odu is that when it appears that there is no light at the end of the tunnel, that you are totally blocked, it is an indication of the birth of a new era, it is birth pangs you are experiencing, a new thing is about to be born. It may seem hard for you but Olodumare does not forget his creations. As the saying goes Oba ti o gbagbe Tapa loke Oya, ko ni gbagbe awa na. The Almighty King that does not forget the Nupe across the Niger river will not forget us too. No matter how hemmed in you are, so far you are on the righteous path, God has a splendid plan for you and it will be okay at the end, if it is not yet okay, then it is not the end.

A verse in Odi meji talks about how a stranger was made Oba in Ode Ibini when the Bini were stuck and the land was having problems.

Translation

My arrival is of good
My walkin is of good
I am the only one that walked in just in time!
The oro was just been concluded
When I entered like a son of God!
I am not a son of God
I merely walked in in time!
Made Ifa Divination for the handsome stranger
Who walked in on the day a new King was to be chosen in Bini
The handsome stranger went to Benin for spiritual rites
He added two to three
And approached the Awo for divination
They said his journey would bring benefit to him.
But he should sacrifice
After sacrificing
He proceeded to Bini
On entering Bini
It was the time of the demise of their King.
He said to himself 'As a senior Awo, am I not supposed to go and commiserate with them?'.
As they were dividing the lot of the late King, the handsome stranger entered.
On conclusion, they gave half of it to the handsome stranger.
The people of Benin city also gave half of the inheritance to the handsome stranger.
After the handsome stranger concluded the rituals
He went back home
He praised the Awo
The Awo praised Ifa
They made Opa and Aran clothes
Made the best out of it
He stretched his legs
He danced!
He opened his mouth
And it was filled with songs of the Awo.
He said 'My Awos predicted right!'
I arrived in good time
I walked in in good time
I am the only one to walkin just in time!
Just as they started the rituals to choose the new King
I entered like a son of God!
I am not a son of God.
I just made it in time!
Made Ifa divination for the handsome stranger.
Who entered just in time
When the oracle was determining that a stranger should be made the new King!

Who will build this nation for us?
The handsome stranger!
Is the one that will build this nation for us!
The handsome stranger!

Made Ifa divination for them in the Idi of males.
And also for them in the Idi of females
When Idi became two, we are blessed with children!

So, the Benin were stuck and the oracle told them, make a stranger your King and your land will be restored. It happened in Lagos in the past as well when the oracle told them to appoint a stranger as King. It was a somewhat frequent occurrence in the past. Sometimes when you are blockaded ie double blockade idi meji, you have to see it as a birth pang and make radical changes. It was what happened in Ile Ife when a Meccan prince was crowned the Olofin Aye in the past and etc. It is the kind of thing that the US is doing now by forcing or aiding change in Nigeria. The USA and indeed organised nations are hemmed in by nations who refuse to organise themselves for prosperity while blaming organised nations for their woes! This Adeboye onslaught on me as provided the US CIA an opportunity to force change.
