And my accidentally found friends: Irreplaceable48, Sekem

I met Big bros Bada on a dog group we both belong to, and we private-chatted frequently. I loved the pictures of his dogs and we exchanged canine knowledge at countless times. We bonded more when we discovered we had a common Alma-Mater : Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun state (Or-Or-You aka O.O.U., though he graduated from the school when i was probably still in primary school *winks*. We chatted several times, and I had requested on several occasion, to come visit his kennel to which his response was always: no problem, when you are ready let me know.
A group member posted an appreciation on the group, for Oga Bada hosting him at his kennel, I took hold of the opportunity and entreated to pay a visit to his kennel and I was indulged. He was so eager to host me, and even pushed a call through to me, a day before our scheduled meeting on a Friday, to ascertain whether our discussion was still in play for the established date (which was Saturday). I gave an affirmation, and he texted his address to me, and how I was going to board vehicles to his place. I felt really honoured.
Saturday approached, and He pushed a call through to me, to ask what time I'll be arriving at his place and I gave him a time range. I didn't respond to his whatsap message on friday night 'cause I got his message late and didn't want to disturb his enjoyment in Dreamland . I had not call him on Saturday morning 'cause I woke up a bit late. His repeated phone calls gave me avowal of his genuine acknowledgement of my visit. I have once had an experience with a dog breeder that invited me over to his kennel- a day before our rendezvous when I called to ask for directions to his place, he said he was going to send it that day. I waited through out but he never got back to me. When I pushed calls through to him, he wasn't answering his phone. On the agreed day, he wasn't answering his call either, and it got to a stage he turned off his phone. I was not happy 'cause I really envisaged and planned for the trip, and I felt betrayed because the whole idea of the visit was his suggestion, and I obliged gladly. Furthermore, we had bonded as friends, and we saw each other as brothers from another parent, so I didnt expect any Villainy/ dishonesty.
Back to my diary...I set out for the bathroom, and got set for a canine adventure. I boarded a bus to Ketu from Fadeyi, and alighted at the last bus stop. I got some cheese balls for the canines I was to meet, as a treat (a trick I learnt from Paulo).
I mounted a bike, and located Bada Kennel, which was my last destination for the trip. Upon passing the front of the Kennel, Oga Bada called my line and notified me that he had seen me pass on the bike. My bike man made a U-turn, and I disembarked from the bike. We exchanged pleasantries, and I was invited into the compound

My attention was captured by the sight of some fawn-coated Boerboels in the cage close to the gate. Oga Bada was between me and the cages, so I wasn't too worried about the dogs attempting to break their cages, to have a chunk of my flesh in their mouth although they were all peeping through the opening in their cages, to see the new comer. Who you be?.

He (Oga Bada) offered me a sit downstairs, which is the ground floor of the 2-storey building. We got along as we communed for a while. He then reached for his canines' cage, to bring out the lovely canines (the purpose of my visit).
It was a spectacular experience of mixed feelings. I remember when the canines were brought out of their cages to be display for my visual gratification, I was scared. What if the dogs get off their leash and charge at me? What if the collar gets damaged the instance he (Oga Bada) brings them out of the cage? I was busy making a lot of funny calculations in my mind: calculating how to do James Bond and jump on the bonnet of the car in front of me, and then hop on to the first floor of the 2 storey building. But as a gentle man that I am, I had to maintain my cool and act like all is well (though I knew all wasn't well within) cheesy grin.
I have been eager to meet mighty Thunder whose pictures has been daunting us on various dog groups. When Thunder was brought out, I almost ran away when I saw his massive head (na dog head big reach this one? Chai!!!) but once again, I don't have to act pusillanimous in front of oga Bada. So I maintained my cool again.

Haven't brought out all the canines and chained them to the front of their cages, Oga Bada stepped away from the canines, and they were at my full glance, for myself to myself by myself grin.
I precipitously remembered the canine bonding initiation skills I mastered over time (I stay close to the dog till he is tired of barking, before I proceed to touch). But this ones were not barking because their owner is present and they respect him (evidence that he is a good Alpha of the pack). So I tactically inquired of Flora's age. I was much relieved and less concerned when I heard she is about 7months old. Oga Bada took permission to excuse himself. He needed to go check the dogs' meal on fire. I gave him a go ahead, and here I was, alone with three lovely canines: a male Boerboel (Thunder), and two female Boerboels (Flora and Sharon). Sharon is non-Pedigree, but Thunder and Flora are pedigree Boerboels.
I crouched to her level and moved close to her, while offering her the back of my left palm to sniff and lick, and my right hand holding an immovable object (the rim of the car parked in front of us), so I atleast get a chance of survival should in case she launches an attack. I was happy when she licked my hand, and I knew I had hit the jackpot. So I started patting her and we bonded. Oga Bada had gone upstairs all this while. I didn't take much pictures, it was more of videos. so I managed to pause the video and take some screenshots. However, this video was recorded by me the very first time she was trying to sniff me.

Flora is a pedigree female Boerboel. She didn't bark at me, but she barked at passers by (mehn, I felt loved grin). I released her chain and walked her round the compound abit, but she saw the walk as an avenue to display her ability to drag, rather than the walk that it was. I sharperly went to chain her back, before I freak out and let go of her chain...wetin I go tell oga Bada?

I wanted to proceed to Thunder ('cause he was chained between the two ladies), but he didn't even give me attention. He was busy toasting Sharon (the non-pedigree female Boerboel). Thunder is a pedigree male Boerboel. He was 1year 6 months old, as at the time of my visit. I knew I'll be passing my boundary by trying to disrupt a "Gentleman" wooing a "lady". So I jeje-ly left him. Ooh yeah, I forgot to mention that he was drooling and as he was drooling, he was giving me a stern look. It made it more of a no-go-area for me (especially when his owner wasn't around). So I wanted to avoid stories that touch grin. E go look me, e go con comot eye. I moved close to Sharon and moved a safe distance out of the reach of Thunder ('cause his chain was long enough to reach her). I then crouched towards Sharon and approach her with caution. She was just newly acquired, as she came into the kennel a day before my visit, so I was of the assumption that she was still trying to blend-in to the environment and might have an unstable behaviour due to her trying to fit into a new environment. I didn't make any move and we were both stirring at eye other, as if there were a price for the winner.
All of a sudden, Sharon reach for me and suspended her front legs in the air, as the chain round her neck was restraining her. (I instantly remembered my uncle's GSD/Rottweiler hybrid that did the same after I left him barking uninterruptedly for about 5mins but Sharon saved me the stress of barking). I immediately supported her legs with my left hand, and tactically patted her head with my right hand and *GBAM!!!*, I was accepted by her too. But she is quite hyper (I instantly remembered Maya of Dogbreath Kennel. Mehn, I miss that chic). But I had difficulty blending in, 'cause her hyperactivity was quite hard to comprehend. I also couldn't bring out my phone because she was very hyper active, and could knock off anything within my possession. She was well socialized.
I shuffled between patting Flora and Sharon interchangeably, hoping Thunder will get jealous and give me audience (as Bail of Dogbreath kennel did when I was patting Maya and Ken).
For where?! Thunder no send me
Sharon is the Boerboel laying down close to the gate

Just at the nick off time, Oga Bada came downstairs and I asked if it was safe to touch Thunder. He couldn't give a definite answer 'cause there were: two things involved. Thunder is quite territorial, and I am a stranger to him. Though Oga Bada was present, he was some metres away from us (me and Thunder). So his reaction was quite an uncertain kind.
I squatted near Thunder, and. He offered me his right paw as if he wants to propose an handshake. I moved closer and reached for his head to pat him, but he raised his mouth opened into the air, and my hand that was on the way to pat his head was about to land right into his jaws. I withdrew my hand mid air and was scared. Guess he sensed my fear and tried to be cool, but I was still scared. Oga Bada order him to sit and GBAM!!! The great Giant was reaching for the ground.

I then reached for his head again and started to pat him this time. He raised his head again and I withdrew it out of fear. I remembered Maya from Dogbreath and remembered how she'll never bite me eventhough she might shakara me small, 'cause she knows it'll hurt me. So I decided to try it out with Thunder ('cause since I arrived, he had not barked at me, but he barked at passers by in a frightening manner). He was licking my hands as I was patting his head and stroking his body. Once again, I knew I had hit the jackpot and behold, that was how I was accepted into the park.

I unchained Sharon and tried to walk her round the compound, but she is too energetic for me to control firmly. She kept on trying to drag me out through the gate. When I resisted like twice, she attempted to bite my hand so that I let go of the chain, but I adroitly avoided her jaws. I returned her to her previous position, and headed to my chair. I didn't attempt to unchain Thunder because he is massive in size and I felt more strenght will be needed to control him. I was surpised when Oga Bada said he is cool and well behaved (so I jumped into conclusion? ). I still didn't attempt to walk Thunder sha.
My visit to Oga Bada's kennel, is what gave birth to the inspiration for me to write on how I was accepted into the pack by some spectacular canines I have come across.
I enjoyed every second I spent at the kennel. Oga Bada didn't forget to serve me some refreshing "water" from his reservoir of canine experience . He made a lot of withdraws from his bank of canine knowledge, for my benefit. He is really a citadel of knowledge.
I felt a lot of ecstasy being accepted into their pack. I was too happy to the extent that I didn't remember to take much shots until the dogs were returned into their cages when the sun was coming out (so as to avoid heat-stroke).
