Why must every Nigerian government entrepreneur policy be about forcing Nigerian youths into farming?

Why can't our government talk about empowering Nigerian youths in technology development and ICT skills Why are these old Nigerian politificians so bent on throwing all Nigerian youth without a political connection to the farm This is sad

A country without her own technology can never be great! Agriculture is not the cure to Nigeria's backwardness and economic woe, technology development is the only rescue to our national backwardness in every sphere of life!

Africa must rise above #Agriculture and #Farming, Africa must take her place in global technology and innovation, and the time is now. We must stop electing old fools into leadership because the only good thing they can think of is how to go to farm and nothing else cry cry

And you think all the obsoletes Europeans technology texbooks been taught here would suddenly technological moves you forward?

This is number 1 problem of Africa, the continent in particular failed to address the physiological and safety needs of its inhabitants. Rather, they copy every move of developed countries having forgot that the so called developed countries have passed through some developmental process.

No country will ever developed in other aspects without solving the physiological and safety needs of her citizens. There are two problems facing Africa today( Hunger/stavation and poor living condition. The only way to solve this is through mechanize farming and improvement of infrastructural facilities(power, houses and good roads).

Tell him...smhh....we have fabulous arable land where almost anything grows...even in African countries without the kinda land that we have are doing better agriculture wise....furthermore, its not by a stroke of luck that we have River Niger and Benue and all the connecting baby rivers in Nigeria...very few countries in the world have what we have. Agriculture all the way. Not that i am running down technology, infact Science and Tech should be well invested into
TheGoodJoe:

If you do not want to farm, leave it and do not try to discourage those who want to.

The investment and time line for a technological movement will not yield dividends soon. The farming movement will create immediate employment, drive down the dependence on imported foods and reduce the cost for foods.

Please, those who are ready to role their sleeves should make use of the opportunities now.

I'm just surprised by the population density in the east shocked

It is only that dense in December. They are all in Lagos, Kano, and all over Nigeria the rest of the year.
