I had my tertiary education in a federal government university in mid 90s and we all know the challenges we faced back then on campus. Some of them were:
a) prolonged ASU strike for 3 - 6 months
b) very dirty sanitary conditions in the toilets
c) selling of handouts
d) serious rival cult clashes

I know the standard of education between government and private owned secondary schools is so wide but what about private universities. If you have attended a private university, how would you rate the following:
a) quality of instructional delivery (lectures and practicals)
b) how lecturers treat students
c) selling of handouts
d) sanitary conditions in hostels
e) power and water supply
f) feeding (are students allowed to cook in hostel and if not, how much is a plate of food in cafeteria)
Finally, if you are still in a private university, will you recommend your university to a prospective parent ?

Most private schools are advanced secondary schools, the question you should have asked is if private schools are constantly beating govt schools in competitions.
