Dear Nigerians please be informed that effective from 23rd of this month airtel has restructured how recharging with *555* works. Below is a comparison between the old structure and the new Old structure Free 200MB data on recharge 200 naira Free 1GB data on recharge of 1000 naira Free airtime to call airtel lines Your original recharge amount is intact on your main balance. New structure 600% bonus on every recharge from 200 and above. No data or free airtel to airtel call bonus 600% bonus will be deducted for browsing, calls and texting Zero original recharge amount. And bonus is valid for 3 days only. conclusively, I will recommend that you stay away from this plan unless u are ready to use 1000 naira to buy 70mb that is valid for 3 days only (because mathematically that is what u get). directonpc:it's so unfortunate that economic situation is affecting Airtel too but they should know that the gsm market is an elastic one as there are alternatives .Etisalat aren't foolish for still continuing their recharge bonus offer till now.They know the implication of not carrying out aggressive advertising. |

I was sent the message too. I think my days with my second Airtel line are almost over. I will just wait till I finish this current BB data plan. This should really be moved to front-page Many people fell victim of this scam. I wonder why these unstable bastards called airtel staff love to change whatever encourages people to use their dumb network. It reminds of their night plan that they suddenly jacked up the price from 200 to 1000 without prolerly alerting people of the new process. This one too. And the customer care is the most useless of them all |

Those thieving bastardz. They told me I had #1200 after recharging #200. Just after 5mins call, they terminated the call. Meaning that, even though I had an active sub, they still charged me from the 1200. |

The worst part is that SMS is charged at N8/unit and calls are about N40/min. So if other words, you are actually being given 3X unworthy bonus rather than the 6X they are claiming. Just dumped my sim 1 Like |

folababa2016: Exactly! Unfortunately, I only got to discover this after recharging N200 using *555*PIN# this morning. My main balance vanished and I was given an annoying N1200. I called customer service and an agent explained that the calls are even charged at N40/min and N8/sms. I've forgotten how much he said they bill per kilobyte when surfing. Byebye to airtel *555*PIN#..... Criminals! |
