A reliable minister friend and a lecturer sent it to me and I believe and trust him in this report because I have had an experience. Please, duty called this is why I'm posting my explanation this late. I'm sorry. Now have a look at that picture. I personally took the pix of this Watermelon. Our family friend bought it in Owerri, near Control Post (where the Hausa people sell salad condiments: carrot, cucumber, watermelon etc) and brought it to my family on 10th of July this year. When I saw the fruit in the house where it was kept alongside other fruits she also brought I noticed a creamy substance on the body of the Watermelon I cleaned it up supposing it was salad cream. When I became apprehensive was after about an hour I still saw the same substance. @ a closer look I discovered it was coming out from a scratch on the watermelon. It was then I alerted my wife in the presence of the woman(ie our family friend) that brought it as they were preparing food. That same evening the woman went back to the hausa man that sold the fruit to her but lo and behold the man had disappeared. I kept it till the following day. Surprisingly, it had foamed more than the previous day.
Fwd: Pls you should not eat carrot,apple,water mellon,and some other fruits coming from the NORTH. We got a report, that BOKOHARAM has sent over 54,000,apples to the south-west for sale,been poisoned with chemicals..sombody just call from North now! Pls send to many people as possible! Its serious!
My Minna parents also called me to be at alert as regards this. It's actually not impossible. People living in the North are more experienced when it comes to things like these. They also warned us not to buy any bag of rice from the North sold at 7,000 as a good number of them may not be good for consumption. The Northerners are not as kind as u think. Just be careful.
