You no longer need to visit the room accessory shops to get expensive stuffs. Now you can make your own decorative bowls, flower bouquets, vases etc at almost no cost!

4) Furniture makeover
It is amazing what paint can do with an old furniture. Revamp old or boring pieces of furniture by simply spray painting it or giving it a fresh coat of paint and watch how your space transforms.

5) Light fixtures
Yes you can say goodbye to the 'lone hanging bulb' in your room and expensive lamps because its possible to make your very own chandeliers, pendant lights, table lamps and sconces with simple and inexpensive materials.

Sure you can. Here is a basic guide. This tutorial is for real wood furniture and not laminate wood.
Materials needed:
Soap
Medium and fine grit sandpaper
Paint brush
Primer
Top coat(the glossier the paint finish, the more easier it is to clean the furniture)
Furniture wax or any other type of furniture seal

Procedure:
1) Prep your furniture. Clean it with soap and a piece of cloth
2) Sand the wood to get rid of any glossy finish and so that the paint can stick to the wood
3) Prime the surface with a primer that corresponds with the type of paint you want to use
4)Sand the surface again
5) Apply your topcoat in any colour of your choice using a paint brush. You may need to apply more than one coat and let it dry.
6) seal your furniture with furniture wax to protect the surface. You can apply this with a piece of cloth
7) leave your furniture to dry and cure for about two days.
