Senator Shehu Sani criticised President Buhari for failing to constitute an economic team – He warned that Nigerians may be dead before the desired change arrived – The senator noted that APC’s popularity was waning Senator Shehu Sani has warned President Muhammadu Buhari that the promised change may come late and cause the death of Nigerians before its arrival. President Buhari was elected on the expectation that he will bring change but he has received a lot of criticism as the country receded into recession.

The Punch reports that that the senator representing Kaduna-Central senatorial district urged Buhari to introduce short term measures to cushion the effect of the reform process. Sani criticised the president for the not instituting an economic team to drive the country out of recession and warned that people may die before reform is complete.

He said: “If you happen to be in a position of power, inasmuch as you want to bring reforms that are painful, you have to understand the need for you to carry the people along because if you keep on bringing reforms and continue to unleash hardship on the people, you may as well say there is a paradise but people need to be alive to reach that paradise. “If you keep reforming and reforming and the people are suffering and dying, you may reach the Promised Land alone because by that time everyone has died. Of what use would that be?” The senator warned that the popularity the All Progressives Congress enjoyed that led to the emergence of Buhari as president was reducing. He said: “Let me tell you how it started, which is general with all persons who just took power in Nigeria.
In 1979 and 1999, when a new president assumed office, he would have the support of all Nigerians. The first stage will be, ‘We support you; we stand by you and we are going to back you.’ “The second stage will be, ‘We are advising you.’ The third stage will be, ‘We are cautioning you.’ At the fourth stage, Nigerians will say, ‘We are warning you.’ The fifth stage will be, ‘We doubt you.’ The sixth stage, it will be, ‘You are incompetent.’ The seventh stage will be, ‘You should go.’”
“When you study these stages, you will see that we have moved behind 100 per cent support to “advise.” And with letters flying and criticisms following, it is about “cautioning.” And I think the handwritings are on the wall for everybody to see.”

We are already at d warning stage and discerning Nigerians had already passed through d doubt stage, obvious signs of incompetence clearly identified with incontrovertible facts backing such doubts.

You cannot purport to address d cause of sickness whilst starving d patient! The patient needs important nutrients from good food to fight existent and incoming diseases but lack of that food and nutrients makes it impossible for d patient to even survive whatever illness talk less of developing any immunity and then waxing stronger. Claiming d food he had access to earlier was not real or gotten from fraudulent means and then snatching same away without a viable alternative displays d quackery of d supposed saviour.

Buhari n APC goons have nothing to offer!
