Greetings,

I worship Marcus Garvey, as must any African descendant whose bloodline, struggle and future aspiration is the same. This is ancestral worship. No other people is made to feel ashamed of worshiping their great ancestors but we are admonished for this noble act. But not only do I worship Marcus Garvey, I worship Malcolm X, but you can't worship Malcolm X, without honoring and worshiping Mr. Elijah Muhammad, who is an ancestor. People talk trash and put down Mr. Nelson Mandela, its disgraceful, cease with this! I worship Nelson Mandela, he was a warrior, an armed revolutionary, he put his life on the line and lose everything. But Mr. Mandela regained all that he lost and became the President of South Africa. It is not his fault that the ANC and other Black South Africans did not collectively form their economic power to lift themselves up. Mr. Mandela did the best he could with what was given him. All these leaders did the best they could with what they had. They are our ancestors and deserve our praise, love, and worship. Pour libation for them, say their names, bless their surviving families. By respecting them we are respecting the struggle within ourselves, our love for self and our unity. Ase.

Now I worship Sango the ancient Alaafin of Oyo. Sango is a royal ancestor. Sango was worshiped by elders in the hulls of the slave ships. Sango is worshiped all throughout the islands and in Latin America. Sango is worshiped in 42 countries upon this Earth, including the giant of Africa, Nigeria, which is the home of Sango. Sango was successful in his time, he destroyed darkness, the enemies of Oyo, Sango was a fierce judge, he was a warrior king, and his life was blessed. No human being, current leader, or past leader, was blessed as much as Alaafin Sango. Sango ruled over more territory that any other Kemetic or African, Moorish king in the history of Africa. Sango was rich beyond measure. Oyo dialect became the dialect of all the children of Oduduwa because of Sango. Sango managed peace with the North Africans by economic means. Sango established the cavalry and the North Africans raised their animals and horses, and in exchange he provided them with agricultural trade, arts and crafts. Sango built an empire that is remembered by Kings and Queens throughout Africa. Sango was successful in his life, he is a beacon of light still, so much so that his living descendants, the current royal family of Oyo, His Imperial Majestry Oba Adeyemi III, is recognized as the chairman of the Oba council permanently. Oba Sango is the head of the Empire. So we have a home, we have nationality, we have a King of Kings. We have a religion that links us worldwide that has nothing to do with worship of Whites and Arabs but images that look like us, Sango, Yemaya, Oba, Osun, and Oya. Yoruba is a nationality, Gullah Gee Chee is a nationality, Muurs is a nationality, you need a nationality to be a legal world citizen. Wake up.

You speak about the Alaafin with so much veneration but I can't connect the dots because right in this post https://www.nairaland.com/3407715/alaafin-oyo-wives-attend-jumaat#5019605, I can see the Alaafin being a muslim. I really don't dig

Years ago I learned Africans practiced traditionsl faith and wore others as a mask. Sango is strategy. I was a Muslim once but Sango is my Faith now, along with Oya and Ifa. Ase.

What's the reason for a mask?

What's the reason for a mask?

To ward off Jihad and build alliances.
