Saturday’s All progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial election might have come and gone, but definitely, the last has not been told as fresh facts have emerged on the roles played by the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai; Minister for Solid Minerals, Dr Kayode Fayemi and Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola raised over N1.5 billion to ensure the emergence of Mr Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) as the Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu; all in a conspiracy bid to disgrace and tame the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Akeredolu polled 669 votes to defeat APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s anointed candidate, Mr Segun Abraham, who scored 635 votes in the keenly contested primary election held in Akure, Ondo State capital last Saturday.

Tinubu had declared support for Mr Segun Abraham, a decision that got other aspirants, especially Akeredolu miffed.

According to , apparently relying on the support of El-Rufai, Fayemi and Fashola, the former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) had boasted that outcome of the primary election would shocked Tinubu.

Multiple sources revealed that Fayemi alone contributed over N700 million while Fashola and El-Rufai provided N450 million and N400 million respectively.

Fayemi was said to have particularly made up his mind to work against the emergence of Abraham just to pay Tinubu back for working against his (Fayemi) ministerial ambition.

“Fayemi does not hate Abraham, but he opted to fund Akeredolu just to show Tinubu he no longer enjoy the total control of the APC in the Southwest. He was the one who rallied El-Rufai and Fashola and conscripted them into what they latter termed; ‘operation stop Asiwaju.’

“El-Rufai acceded to Fayemi’s plot to stop Tinubu’s anointed candidates because of his 2019 presidential ambition and he operated clandestinely.

Don’t forget that he needs Tinubu’s support to, but he is closer to the likes of Fayemi, Fashola, Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State and others who have fell out with Tinubu,” a source said

You just nailed it there Ma'am, Tinubu has taken godfatherism (a blight to our democracy) to an exceeding crazy height which is building an unnecessary empire outside his domain which is Lagos. if Tinubu can concentrate more in Lagos welfarism by now all the trillions of naira he spent in sponsoring candidates, bankrolling election tribunals in Edo, Ogun, Osun, Oyo etc would havevturnef Lagos to a mini Dubai. Tinubu is power drunk - his undoing at the moment.

I will only doff my hat for the likes of Fayemi and Fashola if they can also help PMB out of the recession that Nigeria is currently in. If not they should just tender their letters and resign, the so called politicking against Tinubu is the reason we are all in this economic mess.

Its so glaring now that it was Tinubu structures in Lagos that aided the success of Fashola as Lagos Governor with the way Ambode is following suit. It also led to the emergence of Fayemi as Governor as I remembered how Fayemi sang Tinubu praises way back.

I also hope that Fayemi and Fashola will also make sure that they help their brother oshiomole in edo state to deliver for APC if not Ondo state will be gone after Edo too.

Finally it is finally glaring that the likes of Fashola, Fayemi in collaboration with the PMB gang can never be compared with the Tinubu camp in level of competence, tact, dynamism and so on. We can all abuse Tinubu but we can't deny results that is there for all to see.

This kind of news is a political propaganda, all mentioned names were the inner carcus and loyal to the core team member of Asiwaju Tinubu in APC, at any point in time.

Op fabricating story from the comfort of his bedroom,the fact is that akeredolu is the preference of the majority delegate.You are virtually correct to an extent,the ondo delegate are desperate to break the dynamism of tinubu even the primary is reconducted akeredolu will re-emerge.They are like tinubu influence in south west should be limited.
