what happens is u later figure out how much time, money and energy uve wasted then probably insult and heap curses on the innocent school and its staffs

after which you either write fresh entrance examinations, this time with a school and a course that is duly acreditated or u try to make money without a certificate (which by the way is possible as recent statistics have shown a couple of uneducated successful individuals).

One of four things :
> Stay put in the course till it gets accredited

>Do a horizontal transfer to a different but accredited course in same faculty or college and in same university (esp for those in medical disciplines)

> Do a diagonal transfer for the same course in a different university

>Retake jamb.
By and large, I think prospective students should do more in terms of finding out the accreditation status about the course they're going for. Try to know from senior collegues if the course has full or partial accreditation, don't let the pressure to get into university lead you into taking regrettable decisions

This is the exact situation of an old secondary school classmate of mine. She travelled to one of these west African francophone countries to study law.I think she spent about two years there and Now she's back home- The course hasn't been accredited and there seems to be no hope of getting it accredited before she finishes.
I'm really sorry for her, she would purchase jamb form now and start afresh. Its a pity.

If your course already had a temporary accreditation when you were admitted into your programme, the purported withdrawal of such status after you are already in the department will not affect you. However, if the accreditation has been withdrawn before you gained admission into the department, it will affect you unless your department is able to regain its status before you graduate and of course it is dicey.
