The west made a mistake supporting buhari, but Igbos have been supporting the north since 1960. Azikwe chose to become governor genersl rather than prime minister in 1960. Ekwueme was deputy to Shagari in 1979, Sylvester Ugo was vice running mate to Bashir Tofa in 1993, all through this, Yoruba were in opposition. The only time in the history of Nigeria when the Yoruba have aligned with Fulani ( due to the ignorance of the youth, and against the advice of the elders), Igbos turn around to call us betrayers. Do not make it as if Presidents just sit down while someone else will write for them what to read.

As a matter if fact, presidential speech writers are more of speech editors. The primary thoughts and reasonings on such speeches belongs to the President. The speech writer will then tie the thoughts down and polish it for public consumption.
