Nobody should blame Buhari for this International disgrace.

First Buhari never wrote that speech, he only read it.

Blame no 1 must go to the guy who wrote the speech.
it was him who copied Obama and gave it to Buhari.
Does Buhari write his speeches? Does he have the capacity to write them?
I mean, can he write his speeches?

Blame no 2 must go to the millions of learned fellows who insisted someone without a school certificate is the best candidate to lead Nigeria.

Blame no 3 must got to those who have the guts to defend the international disgrace.

For me, I have decided to support Buhari in his journey to ruin Nigeria.

The west made a mistake supporting buhari, but Igbos have been supporting the north since 1960. Azikwe chose to become governor genersl rather than prime minister in 1960. Ekwueme was deputy to Shagari in 1979, Sylvester Ugo was vice running mate to Bashir Tofa in 1993, all through this, Yoruba were in opposition. The only time in the history of Nigeria when the Yoruba have aligned with Fulani ( due to the ignorance of the youth, and against the advice of the elders), Igbos turn around to call us betrayers. Pray tell, what have you guys been since 1960?

Lousy misfiring blunderbuss

Senseless O.P keep blaming other people, or better still blame the Jonathan.

So buhari can't deliver a simple speech or what? A leader who cannot deliver a speech without the help of others is not a leader.

Hahahahahaha.
Bros, is either either you didn't read before commenting or you have a lot if catch up to do on simple comprehension.

Funny enough, Buhari DELIVERED the speech very well.
The problem was not in the delivery, it was in the writing.

If you ask, so Buhari cannot write a simple speech or what?

My answer will a loud, YES!

The op is completely tongue-in-cheek and a good level of literary appreciation will help you understand the undertones woven into the op. Infact the last line/paragraph should alert u along with reason no 2 also stated so take a chill pill.

Thanks a million times.
So many if them lack the ability to understand the play of words.

But as for me, the "sweetness" of writing lay in the undertones.

You people should continue to blame every other person but Buhari.

To you, he is a god.

If you are a boss in an office and your subordinate writes your letter for you before you sign the letter, don't you go through it for possible corrections?

If you sign the letter and it goes out, and later an error is seen in the content, Who gets the blame?

There is some layer of sarcasm in the post.

In fact the OP threw silent jabs at buhari.

The way they defend every mistake of the president is very nauseating. And you begin to wonder whether some people are under a spell by the government in power.

Thanks for making me read the post.

All across the world, leaders have speech writers who are vast in different fields. Murtala Muhammed's historic speech at the OAU in 1976, Africa Has Come of Age, was not written by him. I can't remember who did, between Philip Asiodu and Allison Ayida. Even ministers do has speech writers. The US Secretary of States has a media team which include a speech writer.

No doubt about it, a speech writer is necessary, but wen u fail to even re-read the speech written by your speech writer, before u even go and present it to the general public, wat does it tell of you?

Do not make it as if Presidents just sit down while someone else will write for them what to read.

As a matter if fact, presidential speech writers are more of speech editors. The primary thoughts and reasonings on such speeches belongs to the President. The speech writer will then tie the thoughts down and polish it for public consumption.

in this case, it seems Babas job is just to read whatever is give n to him.

Anyway, its not still.his fault. I will blame those who said they would vote for him even if he brought NEPA Bill as certificate.
And bros more "disgrace" to your elbows in this futile efforts of defending a monumental international disgrace.

I heard Buhari wants to sack a deputy director somewhere for plagiarizing the/a speech. One thing Garba Shehu and other zombies haven't told us is the name of the thieving deputy director and also if career civil servants are the ones who write speeches for presidents. I on my part suspect Femi Adeshina or one of the numerous media aides and volunteers for that blunder.

No speech writer writes his thoughts.
The President must first of all sit with his speech writer, and pour out his thoughts.
Then writer will fork words for the President's thoughts and this n bring it back for the president to review.
It is job of the president to make sure the words written down, conveys his own thoughts.

This internal disgrace has opened up a can or worms on Buhari's abilities as a President.

Yet, I won't blame him...

The blaming blamer.. Someone should remind them that leadership comes with accepting responsibility for all that happens under you.. The aides and even the president should have gone through the speech before accepting to read it... Thank God we now know our president reads whatever is giving to him without proof reading or even making inputs... So how does the change begin with Nigerians when even the president does not know jack about the speech or programmes he reads out to Nigerians? We are indeed on a jolly free fall ride... One chance change.

Shehu Garba and Adeniyi stood a good ground on going through the speech and then pointing out some areas to the President.
