albinism is not a curse in Nigeria, i started the thread cos of the general rxns albinos get from people which is generally ridicule and in some cases not wanting to have anything to do with that albino( even when you don't know that albino deep down)

Lets just say am trying to sample opinions of peeps about albinism

It is truly sad that some people have prejudices and biases against not only those of us who have an abundance of pigmenation, but also those who have less than a great deal.  I, myself, used to perform in a band with a profoundly talented lady albino singer.  We had a great deal of fun onstage by making jokes about her very pale skin and hair compared to my markedly darker coloration! 

Often, our audiences were unsure as to whether we were being serious or humorous!

does anyone remember a series of books written ages ago by a nigerian woman and distributed by a local publisher- in one of the books, a newly married woman had three or so albino children one after the other. The book (fiction) described how she raised them and the various challenges she faced while doing so.

anyone recall the title? Abi na only me read am.

I met a pretty sexy albino last year. she was awesome in every word, but the white albinos (gingers) can really weird you out

Ginger kids, the ones with overly white pigmentation and freckles all over their face, okay they are not albinos but close (no cigars)
