abadaba:

Sjeezy is from Lagos state. There are no genuine Dibias in Lagos state.

Says who? This lady Iya-lawo is from Lagos and she typically cures sex addiction and other sex related illnesses like impotence and erectile dysfunction. The name of her clinic is ahia ose, behind Bode Thomas, Surulere. She will only charge you $20 for consultation. Good luck.

@A.Emeka: Those ones in Lagos, Aba, Onitsha, Ibadan and other cities are not genuine dibias. Those ones are business men just as chemist shops in Lagos are.
Genuine Dibias are the ones who can call upon the dead and you chat the dead up before it disappears. I know one at Obiaruku.

@Aloy Emeka, the Arabs and Oyibo also exported their religion, Islam and Christianity. I think we should be proud of also being able to export our religion to the rest of the World. At least no one is being forced or told they are going to hell if they don`t believe in Obatala, unlike the oyibo and Arab religions. The effects are there for all to see in Nigeria, where brother is killing brother 4 religion. The African religions accepts and tolerates other religions, something the the rest of the World can learn from. To me the tolerance aspect of the these religions is worth exporting. If these imperialist can export their religion of intolerance y can`t we export our religion of tolerance?

We have to let go of this destructive colonial mentality. African religions are not inferior to Oyibo religion, we all believe in the concept of a higher being(God)

Many of these people receive there initiation in Naija at young ages and return back to their countries.
Yoruba culture is very rich and is probably the only african culture that has stood the test of time.

The only thing that I dont like about being "OneNigeria" is the influx in Lagos by non-yoruba Migrants around Nigeria and the english language. It has in general stopped the Desendants of yorubas/yorubas in (Togo, Sierra leone, Benin, Cuba, Brazil, caribs,Ghana) from coming/feeling comfortable in Las gidi.

What is a Babalawo?
Re: How to know a genuine babalawo by okunoba(m): 5:09pm On Feb 03, 2010
A babalawo is your African traditional healer like ur modern day Pastor / Imam. You go to them when u want spiritual help, similar to going to church or Mosque.

Orisha the best religion in the world!!!
Despite I have never practiced babalawo before, I am still proud to call myself babalawo. I want to urge all the babalows in naija to limit their activities to just animals no humans in what so ever. It cares me, if I heard somebody being killed for rituals. Don't spoil our lovable religion.

There is a Dibia in a town not far away from mine. This Dibia can invoke a dead person and you chat with the dead. You will not see the dead but only hear the voice. In this way the dead can tell you how s/he died and who masterminded it. This dibia is still alive till date and his estimated age is 103.

How to know a genuine Dibia or lawo.
He has to prepare protection charms for you. Then there has to be a test run of the charms on the Dibia. For example, ask him to wear the charms around his waist, then shoot him with a gun directly on his chest x3. If he survives it, then he is genuine.
Goodluck.

Truly many things are changing from its original pattern to various kinds of fakes,to Know whom is real is nothing hard or much.
The work of one defines and determines the knowing and recommendations to many about reality or not.
I,m an Spiritualist and An Ifa Initiate but not a Babalawo in Practice of Oracle, people need orientations about this Babalawo and Onisegun.
Religion is Different from Proffession and as such people misinterprets for one another,Getting real ones is determined by various Handworks. God is the Highest Authority and has the final say on all.
No one should destroy anyone on this,Power that is ultimate lies in Gods hand.

I would like reply to abadaba, who as it seemed at the time he wrote this tread he hated himself so much and very ignorant what Africans are expecting to the world. The so called technology the so called European are exporting has he bothered to know where the raw materials come from. I hate to read ignorant comment.

We have every right to export our religion to all over the world because it one thing that kept our children alive whilst they were suffering in different plantation of the world. Be it obatal, amadioha or Osun, it must be exported.

[quote author=posakosa post=4713074][i][b]There are some REAL babalawo but i highly doubt if there are any abroad. You need to go to a village or one kind bush like that to find them. Most powerful ones are the ones who parents, grandparents and great grandparents have also practiced it. AGREED hereditary and Family lineage in most cases and few do learn the profession
