By AbdulSalam Muhammad.

KANO – Elder Statesman, Alhaji Tanko Yakasai has revealed that the current agitation to restructure Nigeria was an age long ploy by the Yoruba speaking group of the south west to enabled her have a shot at power.

The second Republic politician who spoke with Vanguard in an exclusive chat in Kano explained that the desire was driven by envy and hate for the northern geopolitical zone. Yakasai said “from Action Group to UPN, to NADECO to PRONACO, the agitation for restructuring is concentrated among the south west people of southern Nigeria. The whole aggression originated form Action Group, and the intention was to deny the North the benefit of the population and land mass. It is therefore a gang up to deprived the north the benefits its is getting for been richly endowed.” He further said that “this agitation is not driven by patriotism, rather its driven by hate and envy and this campaign started with some politicians in the south west way back in 1959.”

This Yakasai of a man sef. So now the likes of Atiku and Obi of Onitsha that are also calling for restructuring are Yorubas too??

Something tells me that Atiku's next shot at the presidency will be based around the restructuring mantra he's been touting of late. And with that his chances might actually be as bright as ever.

I think Nigeria is not yet mature for restructuring into full regional resource control, the man is correct.

yorubas want to possess Nigerian FG asset like apapa seaport, mm airport etc at the expenses of other region in Nigeria, which is not possible.

any attempt by southwesterner to mess up by pushing for this selfish political restructuring will be met with higher and powerful resistance by good people of Nigeria.

Nigeria remains an indivisible entity, and no hanky panky by any group: yorubas or other can be traded for that unity.

God bless alaIgbo.
God bless Odualand.
God bless Nigeria.

I am a biafran before a nigerian.
there will be no restructure in the nearest future.
Lagos remains our common heritage and possession.

Nigeria remains an indivisible entity, and any rubbish from yorubas, they will be dealt with thoroughly.

God bless Alaigbo.
God bless Nigeria.

Either they (northners ) like it or not, the system will be restructured.

Imagine this old man saying the southwest is envious of the northern endowment undecided

What are they endowed with : high population of almajiris and empty land mass

Once they hear Restructuring is a Yoruba agenda, the children of hate are duty bound to oppose it. They conveniently forget their politicians are bleating for the same thing

Yorubas could have been the initial visionaries in this. Because Yoruba said it, they were opposed!

Everyone now know the yorubas were right! the alternative is an inevitable war or terrorist hit and run will start all over Nigeria at some point until it overwhelms and the country breaks down uncontrollably from lack of anything happening. Even the oil money will be insufficient to do any tangible development. The yorubas are right to the extent that a new direction is needed urgently.

Even if the terror hit and run does not defeat Nigeria, it will drive so much fear that foreigners and businesses will flee. Who goes to Maiduguri now? Yet Boko Haram didn't defeat the army. That will be a disastrous loss of lives and destruction on what we presently call Nigeria.

Really? Besides claiming the collective sweat of everyone (Lagos) as your own because there is nothing else to boast of, the only thing else you guys are ahead of time in is pledging your undying devotion to the Northern Gambari Lords.

At least we rule the whole country from ttime to time.

That is enough consolation.
