Hello NL's, pls wat can be done about my 16year old last born brother who is suppose to be studying Computer Science in Crescent University but in recent times has made up his mind not to go to school again just because of religion?He is fast becoming a fanatic n doesnt listen to anyone and my parents are worried bitterly as they believe that even if he wants to pursue religion on a full scale,he should at least complete his education first as he is too young and the fanatics are reli eating up his mind, he doesnt do anytn regular again i.e watch tv,want to read his books,dress up,mix with fellow mates even siblings etc, just islamic books n articles and programmes only!!!My parents have been speakin to people and they think he should be monitored very very closely.Any suggestions or comments pls P.S - We are from an average muslim family and he is extremely brilliant |

Try and break things down to him that what he is doing has nothing to do with islam, the first verse of the Quran to be revealed is 'READ' and in a hadith the prophet urge us to seek knowledge, Tv, radio etc is not a sin, God uses the unbeliever to aid the believer there are many verses on this, e.g Aeroplane to pilgrimage, mobile fone for communication, Tv to watch tafsir and current occurance, or better still get him a cleric to admonish him |
