There will always be less privileged people in any country. Children shouldn't suffer because of the misfortunes of their parents.

I ask again, should churches be building auditoriums when there are better things to help humanity with?

Missionaries did alot more than what you mentioned, and education was still Free.

Where is the logic in building schools with offering and making it clear that the schools are meant for the upper class?

We need to tell ourselves the truth and stop being sentimental!
You scored a bull's eye. I couldn't agree more.

I agree with him on some level, but it would have made more sense if he said they should pay less for quality education. No good thing is free, cause they have to pay the staffs and management of the school.

Nothing is ever free

But the missionaries gave u free education, water, and food all free. Huh?

[quote author=stagger post=50441832]The man putting up the sign posts is very stupid!

Are buildings, school books paid for with stones? Are the salaries of teachers or the infrastructure in these schools which no government (Federal, State or Local) can provide paid for with sand? On what basis should education provided by churches be free?

Scholarships are given by these schools based on academic excellence. If you want your children to attend those schools, go and hustle and pay for your children's education or you groom them to be smart enough to win scholarships. Simple.

It is the responsibility of parents to pay for their children's fees. My father was a real man and paid for all our fees without hoping for a church to put up a free school so his children can attend.

If the person who put up these signposts believes his wife should be in the kitchen or the other room, then the productive time he is wasting going around to put up signposts should be used to hustle to pay his kids' fees.

Any man who is busy with his wife in the other room producing babies should be man enough to get money to pay for their fees and not rely on a church to do that for him.

Stupid man![/quote

Please the man who put up that signpost is a true man of God, by name Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry Worldwide (OPM) with Headquarters in Port Harcourt. OPM church is one of the fastest growing Church in Nigeria and beyond. It has about 120 branches worldwide. OPM is currently running free schools in 3 States of the Federation namely Rivers, Abia and Bayelsa State. When I mean free Schools, I mean everything about the School is free that is free Books, School uniforms, sandals, Bags, name it. OPM church sponsored the pupils on excursion to Paris last 2years free. OPM has a free Boutique where you go and pick clothes of your choice free, the Church also has free Acquisition Program, many free Estates for those who have Accommodation problem, free Restaurant whereby anybody can walk into and eat free. The point the man of God is trying to make is that offerings and tithes of Church members should be used for God's people but not for personal use by General Overseers and their family as many are using church money today to buy Private Jets and build schools with high school fees that members who contributed their tithes and offerings cannot afford. I'm a member of the OPM, for more details, contact me

Nothing is free. Absolutely, nothing is free. Even your salvation wasn't free, it cost someone his life.

With the current state of the economy, I doubt if anything can really be free. Where would they get funds to maintain the school, pay staff etc. @ Lower cost, yes but free? Not at all

The school fees in Mission Schools should be very affordable if not free, should not be for profit making. The truth is that most of the Pastors are business and profit minded, they make wide margins of profit and extort the followers.
Winners chapel for instance makes enough money from its weekly programs and activities that it takes several hours of work to count the Cash realized from seeds, offerings, tithes, donations and levies of members. Excluding cheques and forced remittances from branches worldwide.
From the account of somebody who had worked there among the cashier years ago, they load and dispatch bullion vans to bank after every Sunday Service.

If it is not about business and profit making, Winners and most of these Churches are capable of running free or highly affordable Schools. There is no excuse, what will reveal clearly the mindset of some these Pastors is the fact that something one would expect to be free is charged. Winners TV is on Strong Decoder must be subscribed to much like MetroMeyer and other entertainment stations

They get them from tithes and offerings. Missionaries provides schools free of charge before 80's so why are you people saying it can't be free?

Where did the GO's get their money to buy jets, build mansions and universities? Same tithes and offerings so let stop deceiving ourselves. They are all greedy people.
