The Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Act states in

Section 23 (1) Any Public officer to whom any gratification is given, promised, or offered, in contravention of any provision of this Act shall report such gift, promise or offer together with the name, if known, of the person who gave, promised or offered such gratification to him to the nearest officer of the Commission or Police Officer.

(3) Any person who fails, without reasonable excuse, to comply with subsections (I) and (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand naira or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both fine and imprisonment.

Why are they saying this things now....are they not Judges of the Apex Court in Nigeria, if the people charged with upholding Justice and Sanctity in Nigeria can't pursue the prosecution of a crime that they claimed took place in front of them... then they are infidels undeserving of the position they currently hold.

Dude it works both ways.
If their allegation is proven true thenyour submission is right and they will be subject to the punishment specified therein. However this means the APC and Ameachi also have to face the consequence for offering a bribe.
With this the above law you stated cannot be effected as the multiplier effect would implicate the ruling party.

Lol defend what? I thought they were against curruption. I just find it funny how they start a fight on curruption with dirty hands. OH well may the frauds die and rot in jail.

If the justices kept mum over such request but only to open their mouth now after arrest that shows that something is wrong with the judiciary.
And come to think of it this is their official statement of what has transpired in their corrution case

That dead-end institution you call judiciary. They can't even decipher the law they are meant to interpret.

Note that the law is made to only benefit the elites. APC won't open the Pandora box by going after the justices that shot their selves on the heels.

Sick and crooked post. Everybody is guilty except Buhari's friends like Amaechi.

And you think you know the law more than the justices right?
Every judge or justice is/was a seasoned lawyer and they know more than you might even imagine about the loopholes in law.

Just wait and see how it develops.
Now take them up on this law you quoted and you'd automatically drag in and rubbish both Amaechi and the FG.

Wait for it...

yes. to convict the judges, amechi needs to prove that he offered the bribe which the judges failed to report.

An offer by mouth or promises can't be tendered as evidence especially when it comes in form of threat and compulsion from the Executive.

The Justices reported it then to CJN as supposed because the fraud is coming from the Executive hence can't be a prosecutor in its case.

A refusal doesn't contravene the section quoted by the Op.

Of course, the @op, will naturally look at it from the angle of the judges being corrupt. Not form the politician who was hell bent in buying justice. You can imagine,

"Oga is not happy "

Thereafter they'll be shouting corruption. Or the people voted for us.

Some of the so called offers were made over the phone, half the phones in the market have call record functions, in the case that they don't then a strongly worded letter to the Network Service Provider can force them into releasing such records talk less of a subpoena
