I am in the middle of a career change from working in the non-profits (NGO) sector to the full scale business environment. I have tried my hands on a few ventures, however I find I need some brushing up as regards doing business within the Nigeria Business Climate. Can anyone hook me up to a thriving business concern where I can get some hand-on real-life experience preferably in Abuja. I am willing to put up some good amount of time as an intern without pay. I would recommend taking a small course which would help you gain a basic knowledge of business processes and how to go about starting up your own business. There are several business websites out there offering tips and advice on business processes, but I guess you need something more systmeatic and structured. To be honest, business is an art, more than a science. You can't learn everything from a book - You need to go out into the real world, make mistakes and learn from them. As a basic guide, I can recommend you to myownbusiness. org which is a charity initiative towards educating people on basic business skills. |
