Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji is bereaved. The monarch lost one of his daughters, Mujidat Alagbada, on Tuesday in an auto crash and has been down since then. It was said that the accident occurred at the end of Lagos-Ibadan express way on her way to her shop.

Her personal car had broke down, she then took a taxi, but unfortunately the taxi got involved in an accident which took her life. She was married to a popular music promoter, Alagbada.

I've plied the Lagos-Ibadan express road soooo many times. So many parts of the road are extremely terrible. If you hear of accidents along that route, the first thing you should check is the state of the road. That, of course, is not to say that accidents don't occur due to other reasons.
It's just because we don't keep data in this country. If we did you'd realize that most of the accidents are as a result of bad roads- a taxi driver trying to swerve to avoid a pothole, and an oncoming trailer running into it.. That kinda thing.

What YOU should think about and politely ask is why I have such level of assurance, and not stylishly, insultively question my level of reasoning.

Like a driver (transport coy) said to me it's foolishness to speed on a road you're not familiar with cos you don't know where the bad spots are.

We've also seen pics of car accidents on the 3rd mainland bridge despite d road being smooth.

The way these drivers drink ogogoro I wonder when Frsc will stop focusing on bribe & start performing sobriety test on drivers instead of stopping them for egunje.

Why do we always blame accidents on the poor state of our roads, than the state of our vehicles and that of our drivers?

I play this road to work weekly and it is GOD that drives anyone that get to his/her destination safely ooo.
