Mysterious Tortoise, Should I Kill It Or Let It Go? (Pics)

OK, this is unconventional for me, I don’t know for sure, the significance of killing it, or if its true what everyone is telling me,
At exactly 02:32am this morning I woke up as a result of the sound (noise) I was hearing at my door, at first I thought i was been attacked by thieves, so I made some “security ” moves and waited for about 3mins.But the noise continued, so I concluded it wasn’t thieves, and then boldly opened the door and came out… only for me to see this small creature trying to forcefully find its way into my house… A TORTOISE ….so I took a bucket cover it until this morning what gives me concern and worry is this,…….why my house and at such hour, is not like I stay in a lonely place or in a bush, I actually stay in the middle of so many houses Ofcus as an African man, I started calling family and friends to know if there is any mystical explanation or reasons why a tortoise will want to find a new neighbour in me.. the answers I got was more than I bargained for as the were scary…. to cut the story short I was ask to kill it, preferably by burning it…
please any one with more insight into such stuffs should help out…. is it right I kill it or should I let it go? …THANKS

Seriously what would u achieve by killing it since u are not eating it?
Tortoise are harmless and slow and cute... Why are u scared of a tortoise? Have u ever heard of a tortoise with a supernatural power?

Before u become too superstitious, kindly ask ur neighbours whether any one of them bought tortoise that is missing currently... Tortoise can escape like snails. People do eat tortoise.

you could donate it to a zoo
keep it as a pet
it wouldnt survive a week in the hands on your neighbors.

read on tortoise.. they could actually outlive you.
read on its nutrition too.. it might be fun making it a friend for the rest of your life

Spiritual? How? What's spiritual about an ordinary harmless tortoise.

Tortoise live very long and are gradually going extinct. You can save this one by taking it to a zoo.

Tortoise are completely harmless animal. If evil spirits want to harm, which is less likely, they will use a lion.

As someone suggested. It could be your neighbours stray pet.

Beautiful creature, keep it as pet, if you can't take it to a zoo.

Bros.! tortoise are Nuctornal animals.. you dont expect It To Move In Day Time.... if That animal You put There was really found Found In Your compound Please Keep It alive.. its More Valuable Than You Think.!

its a Tortoise and its quite big.. Also, It might be #Nocturnal.
And its not a domestic animal thats why you feel theres something out of place.!
Even if it came in the afternoon, or evening or early morning, you wouldnt have felt any different
I can assure you that you are safe and there's nothing spiritual about it.!

It's just another pet to those who know.
It's a master of mysticism for longevity to those who know.
It's a spiritual symbol for jinxed delays in destiny.
It's a representative of Ancestral covenant of negatively.

Finally, Pray before keeping it if u like the Pet.
Better still, seek counsel from your Pastor or spiritual man.

Treat it with special attention, u might be hosting Your own Special Guest. Don't kill it if u don't like it as pet just let it go. Don't eat it.

why would you kill it?

if you saw a snail at your doorstep would you kill it?
if you saw a dog at your doorstep would you kill it?
if you saw a cock at your doorstep would you kill it?
if you saw a bird at your doorstep would you kill it?
if you see a lizard at your doorstep would you kill it?

you would most likely chase these animals away without giving it a second thought. the tortoise is just an animal like the rest of them.
you should release it back into the nearest bush, or you can put it on exhibit and probably make a little money from it.
