Stignyte Foundation saw my Documentary pictures of the Makoko story on Instagram and decided to contact me to be a part of their Social Corporate Responsibility: Renovating a Primary School in the Makoko Community.

If you have not seen my Makoko documentary photojourney, you can read about it here:

https://www.nairaland.com/3354563/amazing-photo-journey-into-makoko

The privilege to embark on this journey again got the better of me and I immediately said yes to join them.

We arrived at Makoko that beautiful Saturday morning and I had the privilege of taking pictures of the newly renovated primary school.

From all my experiences in these visits, I realized that we need to continually reflect on the little power or influence we have especially on social media to affect people and community positively, and thankfully I was privileged to be a part of this awesome achievement.

For some of us with kind hearts to give and support the less privileged, we may not have enough money to provide the needed support to cause a turnaround, but we may have the right tool to influence those with the capabilities to do a turn around, let us put these tools and skills to use, and trust me, together we will build a better society!

I leave you to the pictures below, and the video of my interview with the teachers and extremely smart Timilehin presently in JSS2 who could not hid her excitement at the amazing turnaround her school undergone, she came to celebrate with the school where she graduated and I was visibly emotional when I interviewed her. Truly Inspiring!

You can see in my interview one of the teachers, Apostle Paul, that he emphasized the need for bank saving accounts for the school pupils such that the parents can continually save money into these accounts so as to provide a better way of securing the children’s education for the future!

I expect one of our financial institutions to come up to support these children. They crave the education, they want to learn! A little from some of that ‘THIRD QUARTER PROFITS’ declared would not hurt your shareholders, would it?

Listen to what Timilehin said carefully, scholarships for children will be an awesome endeavor on the part of brands!

These children need a secure future! Education is key and priority! Support them! It is very important!

Remember! One step to collective environment prosperity can change the whole world!

========================================================================

As we go about our 'hustle' for financial fulfillment, let us remember that there are some people who do not have the capabilities we possess and so are limited within their means.

Our collective responsibility is to help them! I may not be able to give them the whole world! But I will always ensure that I use my tool 'PHOTOGRAPHY' to project these places to the world to the world, not just told build up hype but to get help and assistance for them.

Bloggers should always use the tool they have to enhance Corporate Social Responsibility online and offline, just as I did now on Nairaland.

I AM WAITING ON THE BANKS FOR THEIR SUPPORT!!....IF YOU KNOW ANY BANK THAT CAN HELP THESE CHILDREN DO NOT HESITATE TO PASS THIS INFORMATION ACROSS PLEASE!

EDUCATION IS A LEGACY!!!

BE INSPIRED...

Please check more pictures on the blog.

Quite touching how so little means so much to these kids. Who probably hardly get anything for free usually.

We in Africa are only just beginning to realise the power & impact of charity. It does not take much to make impact if we all try to joins hands.

The psychological impact is massive. To know that there are people out there, who do not know you from anywhere but still ready to assist & encourage.

Too often we intend to give but soon forget to actualise it. I'm guilty of that too.

God bless you, am sure those who supported the demolition of that school would be ashamed now.
