After having watched the Video referred to on this thread title, I could hardly keep my composure. I have been highly aggravated and filled with rage since then that someone could abuse a person's child this way.

I wanted to wave it aside and move on but then again decided that I should take a step and lay a complaint, even if it amounts to nothing.

I found the Nigeria Police complaint Email online and have forwarded them the video.

Here is how my Email reads:

Good day honourable Gentlemen and Ladies of the Nigeria Police Force,

A recent video has surfaced online of a purported young female student of Ebonyi State University being physically abused by someone supposedly her "boyfriend"

As you could see in the attached video, the abuse was quite intense and may have possibly caused internal injury and grievous bodily harm on the unfortunate abused girl especially on her scalp and kidney.

The scenario is made more aggravating by the apathy and lack of sympathy by those standing around while the abuse was going on and the subsequent cheering on of the abuser by the bystanders, who I suspect are also accomplices to this terrible abuse.

I hereby kindly appeal to you distinguished officers, to use your office and legal authority to investigate this incident and if possible, bring all perpetrators to justice as there should be no more room for such archaic and malicious abuse of the weak in our society, especially our young women and future mothers.

I have attached the Video to this Email

Thank you for any help.

Yours sincerely,

A concerned Citizen.

I enjoin every well meaning Nigerian to write the NPF too, especially the ladies and who knows, maybe this rubbish of abusing weaker people could be tackled head on and that abusive son of rabid dog in that video called Bright would have a good taste of justice.

This is the complaints Email of the NPF

npfcomplaint@gmail.com

Please Mod, kindly leave the thread here for a while so that more people could see the Email and possibly contact the police too.

Why are you grieving more than the bereaved.

Didn't you hear the girl say "baby, I'm sorry"? She had already accepted her punishment if not, she would have filed the case personally

So because the abused girl apologised to her abuser, it suddenly means she was at fault and the abuser should be let go?

With such a warped way of thinking you got, is it any wonder that domestic violence and murder in marriages are on the rise?

Do you have any idea how the psychology of abused people work? Ever heard of the Stockholm Syndrome?

Very big shame on you for such a silly post you've got up there.

Anyway you seem Ignorant of how criminal laws work.

So if the family of a murdered person does not want his/her killing investigated due to fear, the police should then let the murderer go and simply return to their desks?

The case is bigger than the girl and if really the full extent of the law is exerted on that guy, the girl's apologies to him would be completely ignored once he is taken to court for assault.

I weep for people with your twisted way of thoughts.
