Let us first hear what the Bible tells us to do with our enemies:

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" Matt. 5:44

The Bible does not encourage us to call fire of any sort to destroy our enemies.

Holy Ghost fire(as it is commonly perceived) is not in the Bible, and even if it were, it cannot be at the disposal of vengeful people who do not practise the love and peace which Christ teaches.

My advice to you is that, you should look at the life of Jesus Christ anything they do in your church that you cannot trace it to Jesus life then forget it.

As a Christian people may see you as enemies ones they saw the life of Christ in you, but you are to love them and pray for them that God should help grant them the grace to encounter Jesus Christ.

The idea is of Pagan origin. A lot of what you know to be Christianity is taken from the pages of pagan myth and rituals.
