Monday 7th Nov, 2016 was one of the darkest day in my life. The day broke bright and clear oblivious of the pains that lies ahead I had woken up with my wife(who is with child) to do as usual our morning prayer and in a lightning seconds had done preparing for work. I got to work in enthusiasm bliss ready to take on the day's challenges, then the unexpected happened. The director a call he placed and I was summarily summoned to his office to break the devastating news. He began ''Olowo(for that was my aka at work-place) we really appreciate your input and effort during your stay in this organisation but this economic recession has made this organisation to take 'a road not taken' before to relieve four of you of your duty, we wish you the best in your future endeavour ''. To say I was overwhelmed with fear we be an understatement, I was completely 'dumbstanding' looking straight into the director's eyes as if to ask questions but it was too late. Yea, I have taking it in good stride and I am done serving people pride aside for I have realised that ''job is a short term solution to a long time problem while work is a long time solution to a long time problem'' hence I have decided to work for myself by doing painting which skill I honed while at UNAD now EKSU.
