Nigeria and South Africa are to sign visa exemption for its government officials as part of efforts aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries next month.

Disclosing this during a dinner at the Parliament of South Africa in Cape Town to mark the end of celebration marking the 10th anniversary of South Africa –Nigeria Bi-National Commission (BNC), Vice President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, said the signing ceremony of the MoU would take place in Abuja when the Vice president of South Africa, Hon. Kgalema Motlanthe, visits Nigeria on November 13, under the auspices of BNC.

He said the BNC, which has had a chequered history, made a significant progress in the last 10 years with 22 out of 33 MoUs signed, stressing that the two countries needed to work together for the development of Africa as the world looked up to the two for solutions to myriad of problems of the African continent.

Who is a nigerian who is suffering? Nigerians themselves are creating a bad image, its not the south africans who are creating a bad image for the Nigerians. Those who are suffering are just finding themselves in the wrong side of the law. Nigerians are not even the majority of foreigners in SA. The majority for sure are people from Zimbabwe, then comes Mozambique, DRC, Malawi, Sudan, Somalia. There is too many people from each of these countries more than Nigerians. nigerians are just there as a small number.

This is total rubbish! The Government officials should be focused on turning our nation into a developed country, so that its citizens will not require visa to travel to many countries (SA inclusive). Rather, they are negotiating easy passage for them to visit SA and also continue to hide their loot there. Visionless people!
