Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has lost his mother in-law, Hajiya Hauwa'u Mahmud Garba.
Hajiya Hauwa is the biological mother to Hajiya Aishatu Atiku Bagudu, wife to the Kebbi State Governor.
This is contained in a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Muazu Dakingari and made available to AtikuVision KebbiState.

Governor Atiku Bagudu has started receiving people on condolence visit at the Government House. Prominent among them, whom are his Deputy Colonel Samaila Yombe Dabai, members of the State Executive Council, House of Assembly members, Party officials, and other prominent personalities.

Governor Bagudu expressed sadness on the great loss, and on behalf of his family the Kebbi State Government and entire people of Kebbi State sympathise with his wife Hajiya Aishatu Atiku Bagudu on the demise of her mother.

He prayed Allah to grant her Aljannatul Firdaus and the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.

Hajiya Hauwa died at the age of seventy four at her residence in Kaduna of a protracted illness this Saturday, 12th November 2016 leaving behind three children, they are the wife of Kebbi State Governor Hajiya Aishatu Atiku Bagudu, Hajiya Amina Garba of Federal Radio Nigeria Corporation Kaduna, and Hajiya Hadiza Garba, and many grand children.
