Correction, this is the African giant pouched rat not Nchi as you alluded, we call it Eyi or Ewi Ani depending on which part of Igbo land you come from.

Nchi is a completely different rodent all together... See picture of what a grass cutter (Nchi)/ or cane rat looks like...
