Yorubas support Northerners
IPOB: Afonjas are slave, they will always support Aboki masters.

Yoruba move against northerners
IPOB: Afonjas are tribalist and unfit for leadership at the centre.

Seriously, you Igbos really need to do a soul searching and get your priorities right. Stop hating Yoruba's unnecessary over every issue. We don't give a fuçk about you Igbos, stop making every issues about the Yorubas.

Ibos are frustrated people. The hatred in them is making them run mad, shameless people that scream buafra today, marginalization next and another thing tomorrow.

National Assembly summons Ngige over NSITF employment scam

Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige
Leke Baiyewu, Abuja

The National Assembly has summoned the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Senator Chris Ngige, over alleged recruitment scam at the Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund.

Ngige is to appear before the lawmakers on Tuesday (today).

The Senate and House of Representatives Joint Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity issued the summon on Tuesday when officials of the NSITF appeared before it.

The committee, while accusing Ngige of impunity and gross abuse of office, cancelled all employments by the ministry between July and September 2016.

Also summoned by the National Assembly were the Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Shettima Bukar-Abba; and Managing Director of NSITF, Umar Munir Abubakar.

The Chairman of the Joint Committee, Senator Suleiman Nazif, while criticising the skewed employment allegedly overseen by Ngige, stated that the exercise was in violation of the Federal Character principle.

He said, “Employment is of paramount importance and the committee will ensure that employment is done in a manner that reflects the principles of Federal Character. I think there’s something going on in NSITF that no one is willing to talk about. It is clear that the minister, Chris Ngige, is responsible for these irregularities, impunity and anomalies, resulting in gross abuse of his office and we’ll take action on it.”

The chairman also urged the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang, to brief President Muhammadu Buhari on the development which, he said, was intended to indict the committee.

According to Nazif, Ngige’s state, Anambra, had 44 slots out of the 131 available, with some states such as Katsina and Kwara getting one and none, respectively.

“We want you, Senator Ita Enang, to inform the President about it because he (Ngige) is trying to put this committee in trouble. Anambra has 44, while other states have two or even one,” he said.

Enang, in his response, assured the committee of the Presidency’s readiness to address the issue of lopsidedness in employment in government parastatals and agencies, adding that the Federal Character principle would be strictly complied with.

He said, “Let me just say that I just received this document this morning. I will relate back with the Executive on this and we will speak with the committee and make a representation. And where we’ve gone wrong, we will address it.

“Federal Character is compulsory and we’ll address it. I apologise it has to come to this level before we address it. I’ve listened to the hard sentiments lawfully expressed and therefore apologise,” Enang said.

restructuring

regionalism

these are the only solution to this country but the selfishness of power hungry leaders will not do the needful

our leaders are deliberately wicked

Nigerian problem can be liking to a polygamous husband emerging three house wives to co-habitate in one apartment which will always cause a commotion

Can you explain in clear terms the meaning of restructuring and regionalism..?
Bc we in the south except the yorubas clamouring for it don't understand...

Guys. Yesterday it was the north complaining about Ngige hiring too many of his people, today it's Fayemi hiring too many of his people instead of northerners. Why can't you people complain about Dabambazua hiring only northerners to fill all 6 of the top positions under him

We'll keep on goin round in this cycle of mistrust and ethnic leanings .102 years have passed since we were brought together , and we'll wake up one day to see that another 100 yrs have passed without much to show for because of nepotism and lack of patriotism.Maybe its then we'll realize its time for evione to go dia separate ways.

Typical Coward Osu carrying a flat head wud say this...northerners respect afonjas a lot compared to you while ur Osu women are all naked In prostitution In d northern region.
grin
I served In d Northern side when they knw I'm yoruba they treats me well compared to an Osu.

I lived in Edo and part of Delta likewise they treated me above any Osu.
Listen,
Afonjas as tried to helped Okorocha become president last year but his votes were not enough in d APC primaries.

Afonjas helped Nnamdi Azikwe become d ceremonial president in d 60s.

Afonja helped Good luck Jonathan to become president in his first tenure.

The question is what has Osu people help afonjas to become? Nothing apparently you are bunch of insatiable, parasitic sects who wanna invade to any afonjas land to become a native of dat place.

Lies of the highest order

Is dis what you tell ur self

Probably they respect you cos of your personality

And you stupidly thought is because u re Yoruba.

I grew up in the North and am still living in the North.

Up here an average Hausa Man regards a Yoruba man as Man without principle.

You belong to no where.

Infact they even go far as using religion to make their arguments.

Like half Christain half Muslim.

Even at that they still detest and separate themselves from you folks in their Mosque's

As any Yoruba Muslim up here.

Lagos- Ibadan express way is d only road that is under construction..

You voted for Jonathan, go and meet him to construct your roads that he could not do in 6 years. You cannot work in First Bank and go to Crusader Insurance to ask for salary. We the Afonjas are reaping the fruits of our labour / vote.
