I need information on direct entry from the Polytechnic to the University.

Studied Science Lab technology and would really love to study Medical Lab Tech or Nursing.

I would prefer to further in UNN or Umudike schools. How possible is this please, does the above school accept direct entry? What's the procedures. Are they still offering admissions now?

Recommend another school, if you know any.

Please, comment if you know something.

You study medical lab tech in school of health tech across the nation (For MLT and MLA) but If it's medical laboratory science you want to study you can proceed to any accredited university of your choice (<22 universities running the program at present which UNN is 1)

For now it's a 5 years BMLS awarding degree but as direct entry if they accept your SLT certificate you start from 200l.
But maybe from next year upward, they might change it to MLSD degree and it will now be 6 years you still start from 200l

UNN, UNIZIK, RSUST, Madonna, *IMSU, UI, UNILAG all run it.

Well admission is very competitive for both courses but I know MLS admits <100 students yearly as all schools have a 50 student quota by induction to meet but with prayer, luck and hard work nothing is impossible.

I've no idea but I think it would be till next year when they start selling forms for DE

I dunno about UNN. But most schools like to give students the courses they studied as a D.E....

In my case, the universities don't offer SLT.

Why is nobody talking about Nursing ?
as for Nursing, its 5 years also, U start from 200L via D.E.
write nursing council in 400L and grad with R.N, R.M and probably R.P.H.N. and most importantly B.Nsc at the end.
The internship is still an issue though.

so simple. Just obtain JAMB D.E form in 2017 and apply to any uni of ur choice. Thats all

I later opted for hnd because my regularization was a bit delayed. However I still have it in mind. I don't mind waiting for years. The discrimination between HND and bsc is just too glaring so I don't mind switching in my third year now (HND1), back to 200l.

Though the chances of getting MLS through DE with SLT is very slim.

You're very correct with your last sentence.. The chances of getting MLS through SLT OND is very slim such that it is almost non-existent especially for public Universities.. It's well my brother,all the best.
