On bed I held my pen on paper pondering
What to scribble for a poem seriously thinking
Then came a flash of light through my window
Within seconds a deafening sound followed

Is that a thunder? aloud so I wondered
"must you be bothered", asked my little brother
"Do you have clothes outside drying
'Cause an unrepentant rain is about falling"

Oh! Rain let it fall please I teased
If it falls I would be more than pleased 
Although, I've got no clothes outside drying
But my seeds in the garden needing watering

What a blessing, I'm glad for two reasons
For my seeds will germinate in due season
And now I've got something to write  about
Like Seriously? my brother wondered aloud
